Saw the new Avenger's movie tonight. I think I actually hated it.
After some thought, I don't hate it. I just hate one aspect of it.

I loved the movie. My new favorite. PM me the part you hated, please.

My wife and I got up earlier this morning to work out. I think it’ll be a system that’ll really work well.

I think I just flunked a class. Haven't taken the final yet, but I just bombed a huge project.

Even a D is a flunk in this case...

I really hope you didn't flunk it. That's always been a fear of mine since my university sets failing grades at a 79% final grade in the graduate programs.

Very easy to avoid in the arts and social sciences.

I've never liked the restricting of fixed percentages for passing set by the institution. It makes it very hard to then award letter grades above passing since there is often little room to work with. It also eliminates the ability to spot top students by the use of more difficult questions while reducing the threshold to pass.

One grading technique I often used in upper level classes was to give each problem a raw score, then calculate the mean and standard deviation for each problem. The adjusted score for a problem would then be based on the fractions of a standard deviation above or below the mean. This way I could use both hard and easy problems and they would self-weight in the final grade.

Our macro economics faculty gave us a link to this speech by RFK in one of the presentations with explanations on GDP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P6b9688K2g&feature=youtu.be
Politicians were so much more articulate and spoke about real issues compared to today.

I forgot to turn in one worksheet and my mom has banned me from using all electronics (except my chromebook for school) indefinitely. Don't expect me to post much outside of school.

Went to the woods and upon returning discovered myself covered with motherf**king ticks. Not cool.

Every spring I go hunting for morel mushrooms, and I came back and found myself with many ticks embedded deep.  We heated a pair of tweezers on the stove and got them out.  Not fun.

Retook the PM test, a little bit farther down-left.

I recently retook the test, if you haven't noticed, went more left socially and more right economically.

I've been drifting rightward lately yet oddly enough my PM score hasn't moved much in the a little under a year on Atlas.

eh I'm drifting rightward culturally but I'm not a neoliberal hack - a term that I'm not found of anyway and too often gets thrown around as a term for Democrats I don't like. Part of it is that the 2020 contenders have moved to the left so I no longer feel like an uber radical progressive like I did when or slightly before I joined Atlas.

My climate studies prof has been and continues to be a climate change denialist concern troll. He could be plotting to have me fail the class using cleverly hidden assignments as proof (though I have no evidence of this, so hopefully it's just paranoia). This is the field I'm planning on finally getting a bachelor's in.

If actual universities find out about this when I go and transfer, they could transfer fewer credits, forcing me to take more social justice oriented classes to graduate. You don't have to be a rapid Trumpist or even not a rabid left winger to be aggravated about social justice classes required for graduation, simply be from a medicaid household in an age of incredibly overpriced tuition to pay for unnecessary and unwanted amenities like giant stadiums for D list football teams that can only be enjoyed by those rich enough to live on campus.

You mean a full reformat? Did you try a regular system restore? Usually installing new software via msiexec will trigger a restore point unless you have that disabled. Going back a month or two may be sufficient in most cases.

I love sports, but it seems like my favorite team(s) in every sport have been losing and losing for the past week or two.  This needs to end!
