Do you know how old the guestbook/signatures are?

I'm glad that you had a good time. Smiley

Jacobin, Madison, WI seems like a smaller city that might meet your cultural and spatial tastes. It’s also the home of UW!

I almost typed "Peebs" instead of my birth name on a worksheet. One of these days, I'm gonna wind up outing myself, I just know it. I mean, it's more ambiguous than my chosen name, but still.

Me too, brother, but we need to come back stronger than ever out of this. It's very easy to be down tonight - after all, we need a judge confirmed post midterms, but the alternative is a reelection after a bad 2018 wave. We will still need more of a miracle than 2010 --> 2012, but hope exists if people turn out. Sadly, the short term effects of waiting will be ruinous, but never give up hope.

We are having our Company Christmas Party tomorrow evening.

Will likely be wet again (as usual). Many are taking the taxi (or like me) drive with someone else who doesn't drink. I'll definitely drink ... and eat (it's only 1 time a year you get it for free).

Another friend of mine got hit by a car (first one was a little over a year ago, he survived).  This friend will be fine too.  He has cerebral palsy and couldn’t get out of the the way in time.  He had surgery on his leg, but will be able to go home from the hospital soon, thankfully.

Exams are over. My biggest worry for the next three weeks aside from money is, of course, gym time. Weather, availability, and early sundown are big factors. Next term will be me auditing Intermediate Russian I and taking two more grad classes.

EDIT: I also ran into my first boss as a TA from my sophomore year who said she might have some work for me. I'm already overcompensated for work I do for another professor, so I'd be willing to do something pro bono if I had time, simply to get experience and my name on something.

I was flat-out rejected from my first choice (where I applied ED) four years ago and it all worked out in the end where I wound up.

I just got a snap from my plug which read "this is [redacted]'s mom. Don't hit my son up anymore for this stuff."

Don't buy your pot from high schoolers is the moral of the story.

You just realized that?
