As long as Trump is under FBI investigation, his poll numbers won't be where it needs to be in order for the Democrats to potentially take the House.  Damage has already been done.

Belligerents in the War on Christmas got their first major victory in 9 years. Because of this, tracking polls might be missing a portion of the electorate as liberals might not be answering their phones for now. Trump will probably slide again following the MLK Day Bump that Democrats will get.

Just wait until midterms. A Democrat won a senate seat in Alabama, and Democrats swept VA in 2017. Things are not going to get any better for him regardless of fluctuations in polling.
