Didn't have the advantage but got 3 millions more votes than him. Very equal.

He's beginning to consistently hit 60% disapproval in polls.

Yup. It would be fun to watch if his approvals go into the 20s or even the 10s. Just imagine the 10s.

Btw, anybody noted that he isn't tweeting about polls anymore? Sad!

I think Bush briefly dipped into the tens, didn't he?

There are enough deplorables in this country so that will never happen.

Yup.

Trump's floor is likely 29-30%.

Maybe 20% of Americans are outright fascists who will believe anything that this dreadful President says and accept anything that he does. They fault people other than themselves for a lack of faith in him and for insubordination.

Leaders so horrible as Trujillo and Marcos had their supporters at the end. So will Trump. Believe me!

Gallup, 11/1

Approve 38 (+3)
Disapprove 58 (-3)

Gallup uses a 3-day rolling average, so this may mean that a terrible day was pulling down the average the last few days and has now dropped off.

As a counterpoint to today's Gallup and SurveyMonkey trackers:

Pew Research, Oct 25-30, 1504 adults (change from June)

Approve 34 (-5)   Strongly 25
Disapprove 59 (+4)   Strongly 51

Regarding that Pew research poll...

The public now trusts the Democrats over the GOP on the economy, gun laws, taxes and terrorism. Looks like Trumpism is dragging down the Republicans.

No I'd say it hurt him but only during the small time period where the news was completely dominated by it. It really does seem like Trump has hit his floor (35 - 38%), which may or may not be temporary. At this point the only thing that could allow it to stabilize at a number in the low 30s (or lower) might be time, in the sense that years go by and nothing gets done and his supporters continue to see no movement on issues Trump promised to solve, and/or passing very unpopular policies that even he can't defend.

One should never put too much stock in the daily movements of a tracking poll. Trump has averaged about 38% in gallup for months. If his weekly average begins to go down, then you can tell if its hurt him. Right now its to soon.

I think the indictments definitely helped considering they had nothing to do with Trump or any actions done during the campaign.

Except the indictment of one of his foreign policy advisors for lying to the FBI about contacts with Russian agents during the campaign?

Really? You forgot Papadopoulos, who already plead out and has offered very damning information, some of which might be trouble for Jeff Sessions. I think you're also forgetting the entire reason Mueller has gone after Manafort (aka Trump's campaign manager?) and Gates in the first place. Manafort didn't fold, so he's doing what prosecutors do and digging up old dirt to pressure him into cooperating. This isn't some wild theory. This is a pretty standard action by prosecutors.

Look it's one thing if you think there is nothing much to Russiagate, but let's please not pretend nothing in that Monday reveal had nothing to do with Trump or the campaign.

Rasmussen polled VA GOV race and found Trump with a 45/54 JA.

That seems somewhat high for VA.  Then again, Rasumussen has consistently had relatively good national approval ratings for Trump, compared to other pollsters.  They currently have him at 43/55, with very little movement over the last couple of months.

I think a lot of soft support for Trump is just based around malevolent  nihilism. This last week confirms it.

So it confirms the state of the race; Northam is winning but might lose if there the brand is really that damaged.
