House Campaign Kickoff Speech in Jacksonville, FL at the Veterans Memorial Arena on October 7th

Greetings fellow Atlasians!
I'm here to kick off my campaign in the great city of Jacksonville, the host of our Federalist National Convention, so I can win a full term in my own right after being nominated to fill the House seat vacated by the great President Fhtagn in late August. During my time as Atlasian Representative, I have been honored to serve you all by putting people first and Atlasia first whenever I'm faced with an important decision that affects our great nation while working to achieve the dream of a better Atlasia, and win a victory for the people. I have been an active member of our Congress as I sponsored the Harvey Aid Relief Act for our hurricane victims, the Draft Restriction Amendment to protect our most basic and natural civil liberties during a time of war, the Drug Import Act to remove unnecessary tariffs on prescription drugs manufactured in Canada, which has a similar standard of living as Atlasia and respects its workers, in order to lower drug prices here, the Having More Donors is Good Act to increase stocks of vital bodily fluids and organs to help sick patients by allowing more freedom for potential donors, and the Federal Drug Policy Reform Act, which aims to reform the futile war on drugs by disincetvizing the cartels from terrorizing our nation and diverting funds to educating our young people to not use drugs. I have also voted on other important bills and I helped strike compromises on some in order to make those laws fairer and more beneficial for real people. I also take pleasure in typing giant, bold, green "AYEs!" on bills that I'm proud to vote for since there needs to be more energy and passion within our Atlasian government. However, I'm not a mindlessly obedient yes-man, as I spoke on the Senate floor criticizing what I believed to be a bad deal we made with China over the Korean War since it required us to give too many concessions which harm our own economy and has the potential to cause long-term harm to our national security due to the threat of nuclear blackmail. I still voted for the war declaration, even though I was against it ever happening as I am anti-war and support peace, because we were already fighting them no matter what Congress decided to vote for, so I believed that it was appropriate to show support for our troops and to boost their morale by giving their fight a sense of legitimacy, as well as providing a timetable and endgame to win our mission in Korea. I am running to continue to be a voice that will stand up for the interests of the Atlasian people first and foremost by focusing our efforts to help people at home rather than overseas, and that's the victory I want to win for you today. I am proud to be a Federalist since I strongly cherish the core values of the our party which include promoting regional rights, working with and not against the free market to solve our economic problems, protecting civil liberties from oppression from an overly powerful government, as well as protecting life at all stages. If the Federalist Party wins a majority this election, our main priorities include these central tenents: inserting "Pay as You Go" in the House Rules to support a balanced budget, as writing a budget for the first time in 3 years will be a key goal to accomplish during the next Congress, and all Federalist members of the House will pledge to vote down any unfunded bill. We will also transition more of our education system and regulation back to the regions to help cut down on ineffective bureaucracy by making federal action smarter regarding education through diverting excess federal funds from wealthy, successful regions and school districts to those that need it the most.  This high standard of efficiency will be exemplified by the auditing of the Pentagon, and requiring competitive contracting for all government agencies especially including the Defense Department in order to crack down on corruption within our government to make sure that our taxpayers can have the peace of mind that their money is being spent wisely to protect their own interests. I also pledge to protect regional late term abortion bans from federal interference as I am pro-life and hope to see abortion removed from our society not only by banning it, but also by making it easier to raise a child in Atlasia and poverty should not be a hindrance to that. We will also bring the Senate's failed Judiciary Independence Amendment to the floor of the House for a vote, because unlike the Labor Party, we don't want party leaders to sit on the Supreme Court since they have an obvious conflict of interest which disallows them from making fair and objective interpretations of our laws. We will reform our justice system even further by passing a DoJ independence act to extend the same protections existing for the GM to the Attorney General and ban the Attorney General from holding any other office. As a People's Representative, I believe in striking the right balance between personal freedom, improving our standard of living, protecting life, and maintaining our national security and sovereignty while keeping the peace in order to finally achieve that coveted victory for the people. I have a proven record of following through with what I wish to accomplish, and let's go out and vote for a victory for the people on October 20-22!
Thank You Florida and Jacksonville, and may God bless Atlasia!

The Thunder Plan
I will support the most objective nominees for the Supreme Court with the highest levels of integrity, as displayed in their posts throughout their time in participating in Atlas Forum, in order to allow fairer and more balanced rulings. I also don't want to be an obstructionist to decent nominees by our excellent President, fhtagn, but I will stand with my principles by voting no if he nominates someone that I find unfit to serve on the court. However, I will favor nominees who support Regional rights to the most reasonable and fairest extent in the best interest of our population as possible. I will also apply this same philosophy whenever I vote on bills. I also care about my values and principles.

I will also pledge to protect life from the womb to old age through the efforts of a good government that aims to put people and families first. That means fixing our education system to prepare our children to have better lives than their parents, eliminating college tuition for intelligent students who are unable to afford college, a training program for workers who lack the skills to compete in a 21st century economy, and we will protect our social security programs for our elderly who have contributed so much to our country earlier in their live--since they should never starve to death or suffer in crippling poverty after a life of hard work.

I also support our troops and veterans who must be treated well when they go home. I will push for psychological treatment to be offered to any soldier who needs it, and each veteran will have the opportunity to get a college education or a grant to start a business. I am also against any aggressive wars of choice as I am a pure noninterventionist at heart, but if we are directly and deliberately physically attacked in Atlasia by any country or terrorist organization, then I'll give 'em hell. War is never in the best interest of our ordinary citizens since it causes too much death and destruction while it drains our economy of its prosperity and development, and I will only support it as a last resort.

I also care about combating the droughts and all other natural disasters in a competent manner. I also want criminal justice reform because we need to focus on fixing the ills in society by prioritizing rehabilitation over punishment. I only support the death penalty in cases where there is undeniable evidence of terrorism, serial murders, and child murder. I support the legalization and regulation of marijuana similar to alcohol and tobacco, but I support banning the deadliest hard drugs because they cause too much harm to people and society, and I support all efforts by law enforcement and the military to hunt down all drug cartel leaders since they are the root of the drug problems facing our nation, but we shouldn't give extreme punishments to minor drug offenders since mass incarceration only breeds more crime and violence in our most poverty stricken communities.

I support universal background checks on all gun purchases in order to keep our people safe, but I also strongly support a right to bear arms for all mentally sane non-felons. I am opposed to all barriers to free speech, religion, assembly, press, and petition unless it physically endangers other people. I also support protecting our LGBT community. That means upholding same-sex marriage and the right to identify as any gender you feel like since it doesn't cause harm to anyone and it is a fundamental freedom. I oppose abortion in all cases except to protect the life of the mother or rape, but I strongly support comprehensive sex education and easy access to birth control.

I also care about protecting our environment while we make sure that those displaced by the loss of high polluting industries such as coal are able to find new jobs (preferably in the renewable energy industry) before I would vote for new environmental regulations. I want Atlasia to eventually switch over to renewable energy for the sake of our climate, economy, and for the quality of our environment for the people, but we should do it in a smart way without hurting the people that we are supposed to help.

I support the comprehensive immigration reform already passed in a previous Congress because we needed it to help the existing millions of undocumented immigrants who are already here to come out of hiding so they can live in dignity by being able to earn civilized wages and be able to contribute to our economy in more productive and efficient ways since the formerly illegal immigrants can receive training and education that would pay for themselves over time, and that's how our economy can grow. I also support tough border security in order for our country to remain secure, and to prevent extremely large numbers of immigrants from overwhelming our system. Another interesting way to limit future immigration is to support the production of films that don't present Atlasia as such an amazing place to live for international markets, so that we can focus on bringing prosperity to our people first. We should have extreme vetting through sweeping criminal background checks of refugees from countries that have a lot of violence, but we should never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, or ethnicity.

I believe in supporting all efforts in scientific research in order to stimulate the economy and help it grow and advance. I also support our space program because the investments made in the research by our government will pay for itself. I will support a privatization of more simple satellite launches and space travel as we move further ahead in our discoveries, as the government should be the main catalyst for most research and the major milestones. I also care deeply about medical research, as we should work to find cures for diseases.

I also support stricter controls on prescription drug prices. I would also consider a public option for healthcare that would be optional for people to participate in, so that health insurance companies will have to compete with an entity that doesn't have a profit motive in order to remove the price gouging that's been left unchecked for far too long.

For those of you who are wondering how I plan to pay for this, I will propose an audit of all of our government departments so we can cut waste and fraud, I will also also make sure that all new government programs can either pay for themselves within up to 10 years or those programs that are morally important but fiscally unsound will borrow money from profitable services. I would be willing to support a massive stimulus program, that would eventually pay for itself, to support small businesses only since they are the ones that need the help the most by allowing them to hire more people so we can bring unemployment down and make wages rise. I support a plan to wean our economy off of corporate welfare having them to keep their money in Atlasia through stricter laws against allowing them to dump their profits in overseas accounts and by requiring them to invest a greater portion of their profits in their own businesses or in wage raises for their workers. This will help grow the economy and solve income inequality.

I promise I will not raise tax rates, but I will support stronger enforcement of tax evasion by closing loopholes and access to offshore tax havens while I support tax cuts for the poor and middle class. However, I will allow corporations the option to allocate a portion of their owed taxes to wage raises for their employees. I will also support handing control of some federal programs over to the regions on the condition that they provide adequate funding in order to maintain or exceed the quality of these programs. This will allow the Federal government more leeway to focus on more innovative research and development to improve the quality of services and standards. This will renew the people's confidence in the government's ability to do good for our country.

As someone who was infamously attacked for turning Atlasia into Buzzfeed by making lists, can I recommend that you format your posts with well less bold text in erratic formatations Tongue Elections have been lost over less.

I'm not sure this is true as Yankee was both your party chair and a Justice in the Supreme Court; now he may have changed his view since, but this isn't specifically a party political issue.

I format my posts however I want to! As we all know, writing style and formatting is what people resort to attacking when they can't make a solid argument against the substance of a piece of writing.
I am aware that the Federalist Party may have had a different viewpoint on Supreme Court justices in the past before I was even a member of Atlas Forum, but I represent TODAY'S Federalist Party, so don't blame me for that. Also, that doesn't excuse all of our Labor-aligned Senators from voting against this common sense mutual reform of our judicial nomination system even as all our Federalist Senators agreed to relinquish all rights of placing party leaders on the Court, so it was a party-line vote. If I was a Congressman back then, I would have opposed placing Yankee on the Supreme Court because I have personal principles that I always put first before voting on anything, and I'm not an obedient yes-man. At least I'm in touch with what today's Atlasians want from their government which is a depoliticization of the Supreme Court right now.
