FF on balance. His tax cuts weren't remotely as egregious as their modern counterparts, his foreign policy wasn't as disastrous as it could have been (least of all compared to Johnson's), and his stances on social programs were good.

One of the most popular, and influential presidents in the modern age, although I'd bet he's more disliked on here than by the general public. His impact on culture, modern politics, TV, and wider American society alone are worth a lot.

His Presidency had a lot of interesting paradoxes. He was a raging Cold War Hawk, who appeared ready to attack the UUSR, lead a pretty ruthless Guerrilla campaign against Cuba, itched up the Vietnamese War yet gave his cited American Universities Speech calling for peace, signed a Test Ban Treaty, achieved peace in Laos and raged against the Military Hawks in his own administration.

Likewise his domestic policy was relatively interesting; large tax cuts, combined with rampant anti-Union activity yet also through the weight of the Justice Department against US Steel. The same with Civil Rights could be seen; was pretty ambivalence in the Senate, and wasn't a big supporter of King yet put forward a major civil rights bill, gave a major speech for civil rights after Birmingham and used the Justice Department to aggressively uphold civil rights.

Even as someone who's relatively studied his Presidency closely (and hope to do much more so after university) I'm still unsure just how successful it was, or how it would have panned out.

FF. From tax cuts to staunch anti-communism to expanding the military budget and making the ideological case for American leadership abroad, Kennedy is my favorite Democratic president of them all.

A proto-Obama for both good and bad, albeit a bit more oratorically polished.

A mixed bag, so neither FF or HP. Not a bad President, but very overrated, only Reagan is more overrated. Both his predecessor and his Successor were better Presidents.

FF. But highly overrated. LBJ was a much better president.

Also prefer RFK to JFK.
