Awww. Heitkamp gave a little kiss on the cheek to Manchin after he switched his vote to no on the Cruz-529 amendment. It fails.

Can't Pence break the tie??

Yep, didn't realize that Heitkamp had already voted so I thought they had 51 Nays. Its fixed.

Wait, this Cruz amendment might actually pass.

Is it going to be in the final bill? Do we know?

If it passes why wouldn't it be?

Because of how this process votes. After all the other amendment votes are done, McConnell offers an amendment (the 'final' or 'manager's' amendment) which wipes away any previously passed amendments and replaces them with whatever he decides is in the bill.

Oh lol

Man this process is pretty terrible.

Yeah.

We never got to the manager's amendment in the July Obamacare repeal because McConnell chose to table the bill when all three main amendments (R&R, R&D, Skinny) failed.

Off-topic, but Democrats need to get rid of the filibuster for good.

I am feeling petty, but I want to steamroll these bastards the next time we control everything.

NO!

NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO!

THAT'S A HORRIBLE IDEA!!

DO YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH THE GOP WOULD BE ABLE TO DO ONCE THEY GOT IN POWER?

THE REASON TRUMP HAS BEEN ABLE TO STACK THE FEDERAL BENCH WITH VERY CONSERVATIVE JUDGES IS BECAUSE HARRY REID, THE IDIOT THAT HE WAS, ENDED THE JUDICIAL FILIBUSTER.

Seriously.

And if McConnell whines about it, tell him to go **** himself.

The Democrats really need a long term, strategic plan to cuck the Republicans entirely. Find every weakness and pounce at it. Take every strength and nuteralize it. Pit every coalition within the party against each other then give them a light push over the cliff

If Jones manages to win, we might take it back next year.

But the Senate does have a natural rural lean... meaning a natural GOP lean...

Very unlikely any other state moore would be finished but it’s Alabama so he will win by 2-5 points.

Anyway, debating currently on Kaine 1846. 60% required for waiver. And Kaine kicks off the roasting of the "regular order"

This Kaine bill won’t pass.

I am glad Tim Kaine said the middle class is getting a tax break though.
