Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D) is the Democratic party's best chance for defeating Trump. He's a strong liberal who has a history of popularity with the WWC. He defeated incumbent opponent Lincoln Chafee by 7 points despite Chafee having a 60+ approval rating. He co-sponsored Bernie's Medicare for All Bill too.

I could see him as VP (cue "Sheldon Navalobservatory" jokes). But I don't think he's right for the top of the ticket.

He's kinda boring. And Jack Reed would make a better president anyway.

Jack Reed's name sounds like something from Tom Clancy.

Anyone who thinks that Wall Street money preferred Bernie to Hillary is completely unfit to be President.

Nominative determinism perhaps only makes it inevitable.

With Hickenlooper as VP, that could make cool yard signs and bumper stickers.
