Bernie doesn't get in, endorses Merkley

That's really it. Even then I wouldn't say that gives him a 100% shot.

He can win, I just don't see it happening. He doesn't run if Bernie runs, which is looking more likely by the day.

Win IA, win NV, win CA [assuming it successfully moves itself as early as rumored], do decently in The South, and kill it on the Accela Corridor and Midwest.

Warren would have to do so, too. Merkley hasn't the old man charm that some see in Bernie. Hard to see how he boosts his name ID enough to stand a chance against establishment candidates even if all other leftists sit out
