As Party Secretary of the Farmer Labor Party of Atlasia and after consultation with the National Executive Committee of the Farmer Labor Party of Atlasia, I hereby declare the Party to have died a dignified death. All registrations with the party are now null and void. The Party no longer exists.

I'm sad about this, I suspect the rest of you are as well. In fact from conversations with you I know that you are. But with defections and the cycle of inactivity it's a near miracle that we lasted as long as we did. We have much to be proud of.

We had a good run. We've had a great send off; gaining two Senate seats in landslides. Not bad for what was orginally a one man band for a disgrunted former Democrat disgusted at the rampant corruption of the AFDNC, eh?

I recommend that all former members join the Heartland PAC (a proper thread and website will be worked out tomorrow) and have a good long think about which political party to join next.

Good night... and goodbye.

I would like to extend a welcome to all members of the former Farm-Labor Party to join the Christian Democrat Party.

I would like to invite members of the FLP to join the ILP. The ILP would, in my opinion, be a good fit for economically center-left, socially liberal former FLPers.

I would also like to join in on the shameless plugging, and invite former members of the FLP to join the Social Democratic Party.

The Farmer Labor Party was a fine party that stood for the betterment of Atlasia.  I'm sure that it will be looked at positively by future Atlasians. Smiley

Ok, well we are basically like the FLP except we take a stance on social issues, and that stance would be a liberal stance Smiley We could use you in the party, but I am not sure of your exact compass score.

That's a pity.  The end of a great party and ally in Atlasia.  My hat off to your great success in the last election

I should add that all three parties' names are a huge turnoff for me. (Think Germany, political parties' names. You get the idea.)

BR's SDP. Beef should go CDP I guess.

I just don't see why the SDP is needed.

I think it's because no other party is both socially and economically liberal.

I like that spelling. Sounds like you're following the teachings of M. de Coummins. Smiley

There is no Monsieur de Coummins who left any teaching as far as I'm aware of. It's just that that's what "Coummintian" looks like it's supposed to mean - a follower of Coummins. It's not an extant word, but it's a pretty cool-sounding word.

I suppose you guys were expecting me to refuse to leave like I did with the AFDNC...  Well, I'm not gonna.  Didn't work for me last time; won't work this time.  Sad
But I loved being in the FLP.  Thank you for the good times, Al!
