Jamie Horowitz called Clay a southern white conservative. He debunks the label in the very next paragraph. Believe me, he calls Trump an idiot and a "pussy" all the time and talks about how he is terrified of far right theocrats like Ted Cruz.

Granted, he's an attention who're first and it's hard to label him liberal when he was too cool to vote for Hillary (or some conspiracy theorists think he really did but didn't want to admit it to his listener base), but he is in no way conservative and it's classic Vox to not do their basic research and label him that way.

He's not opposed to ESPN's liberalism per se, but thinks it's bad business to fire Curt Schilling (whose repeated anti-trans comments Clay strongly disagrees with) but keep liberal anchors. Also Clay wants to pick up market share for his radio and online empire and if conservatives hate ESPN he figures they might as well switch to him.

Let me be clear that I roll my eyes at his hot takes attacking ESPN for liberal bias and all that, but it's hard to disagree that ESPN is losing conservative viewers. He really is a good college football commentator though, which is why I've been a fan for years .

What I don't get is how all these people melting down about his comments today don't realize they're just exposing him to more potential fans and making him richer.

Pretty much this. It's not that the dude likes boobs dash dash what straight guy doesn't, even though some may prefer other parts of the anatomy more Dash Dash it's that he freaking announced his preferences in a nationally televised news interview.
