Either Trump is trying to keep this under the radar, in which he has chosen perhaps the best possible timing, or is upset that the news, for once, hasn't been about him for an extended period and is trying to get back in the headlines.

Trump won Maricopa County. Arpaio lost. This means it took some Trump voters to vote out Arpaio. You seem to think every Trump voter is part of his base and voted For Arpaio. A few Trump voters did not. Trump did better in Maricopa County than Arpaio.
