Hell yeah. But I assume both would move to the center in that case. They won't go anywhere though.

In a world where Kasich switches parties and wins the D nomination? Absolutely!

In a world where it's a three way race between Kasich, the actual D ticket, and Trump? Depends. If the democratic nominee is someone extreme like Warren, Gillibrand, or Harris, then I'd obviously vote Kasich. But if the democrats nominate someone sane like Kaine, Cuomo, Kander or Klobuchar, and I live in a reasonably competitive state, I could see myself casting a strategic vote for the D nominee to ensure a Trump loss.

Yeah, if the Democratic nominee is terrible or if the Republican nominee is not terrible (so not Trump, Cruz or Pence).

LOL

All three are very far left individuals that I would not be comfortable voting for in any situation. I'm completely serious - If it's Warren vs. Trump, I don't care if I'm the deciding vote - I'm voting Third Party, probably libertarian if there's no Kasich/Hickenlooper ticket.

No. Fake "anti-Trump" Republicans and Corporate Democrats are opportunists that only oppose Trump because he is less of a neo-con than they are. They like him when he sells out to wall street, takes away peoples' healthcare or blows up kids in Syria.

I'd need them to promise no new social programs and no amnesty for illegal immigrants without first cracking down on new arrivals.

If they made those promises, I'd be an enthusiastic yes because I don't trust Trump.

There's another thread about this?

Fine, I'll give approximately the same answer as on the other thread.

Yes, I would consider voting for a bi-partisan ticket like that. The bi-partisan nature of it strongly increases the likelihood that the ticket will say the right thing about the appointment of Supreme Court Justices -- namely, that the most important quality to look for when choosing who to appoint is the quality of objectivity. If Kasich and Hickenlooper both say that the Supreme Court is supposed to be made up of the nine most highly objective interpreters of law that can be found anywhere in the country, that as a pair of independents, they blame both the Republican and the Democratic Presidents of the past decades for failing to remember the importance of objectivity, and both parties are to blame for repeatedly choosing to appoint Justices for ideological reasons instead, then I'm on board. If they both blame the two major parties for turning the Supreme Court into a super-legislature, because they've appointed mediocre people chosen on the basis of their ideology, then Kasich and Hickenlooper will be demonstrating the adage that good policy is also good politics, and they will deserve to win 2020.

Combining the worst of both parties. Not unless they stop supporting imperialism, big infrastructure, and other massive state spending initiatives.

It would depend on how Trump's term goes and who the major party nominees are
