In 2016, by some miracle Governor John Kasich of Ohio wins a come from behind victory to win the Republican Presidential nomination, defeating Donald Trump.

Kasich picks Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee for Vice President.

Corker is an experienced Senator, having served since 2007,  as well, he was Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at the time he was tapped for Vice President.

Governor John Kasich of Ohio/Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of New York/Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia

How does this election turn out?

Please discuss.

Kasich wins pretty handily, probably by more than Trump did IOTL. I'd say he gets all of Trump's states + Nevada, Colorado, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

I think Kasich would win. Hillary would win in the Northeast minus New Hampshire and Pennsylvania, in Virginia, in Illinois, in Michigan, in Wisconsin, in Minnesota, in New Mexico, in the West Coast states and in Hawaii with Kasich taking the rest of the country to make it 298 electoral votes for Kasich and 240 for Clinton.

Governor Kasich/Senator Corker 312
Secretary Clinton/Senator Kaine 226
Clinton wins Michigan and Wisconsin I don't think Kasich is a good fit for those states but he's a great fit for Colorado Virginia PA and New Hampshire

Basically this except I think Virginia would stay Democratic.

This but North Carolina and Florida to Kasich and Wisconsin to Clinton. Pennsylvania would be the deciding factor narrowly going to Clinton.
