Who in the world is Hayley Williams?  I am pretty involved in TN politics and have no idea who she is.  But, I would vote for Marsha.

Of Paramore fame.
Anyway, probably Cooper, because he'd prob have a better shot at beating an R than Williams.

I googled her, and I can't even find something that says she is a Democrat at all.

Williams is a pro-choice progressive Democrat. She openly talked about supporting Planned Parenthood on Twitter and even called for Trump's impeachment. Williams makes Cooper look like Blackburn.

Corker or Haslam, to be honest. I'd want a sensible Republican to win here.

Yeah, I'd probably hold my nose and vote Cooper. He is one of the better moderate Democrats, co-sponsoring HR676: Medicare-for-All and being vocal about the problems of lobbying in Congress. His replacement in the House would probably be to the left of him, too.

Even though I'm probably closer to Williams ideologically, I really dislike the idea of wealthy pop stars running for office.

Kid Rock potentially running in Michigan gave me this idea.

In a world where the Republican Party isn't so, well Republican Party, I could be convinced to vote for Bill Haslam, who has done at least one or two non-terrible things as Governor, over Jim Cooper, who has been a useless seat warmer who is anti-minimum wage and has constantly undermined his piers for LITERALLY no reason (he's in a district that is getting more democratic by the second).
