This, probably. I think it's pretty early to guess, but Newsom has been preparing for this for eight years.

I'm a lukewarm Chiang supporter, since both of those guys are pretty scummy.

I actually think Chiang as a decent chance to make the runoff. Villaraigosa-Newsom is obviously the favorite outcome, though.

Agreed, not that he'd come close enough to Newsom to make it a race. Unless someone has something on Newsom that they're waiting to spring at an opportune moment, he's the most well-known candidate who's won two statewide elections already.
