Trump is a white supremacist. We've been saying this all along but I guess it took him being elected for some to see it. He will never condemn the KKK and Nazis outright because they put his mentally deranged ass in office.

What an abysmal speech.

I actually thought he could manage to make a good speech, but his "all sides" statement and his overall demeanor made it seem like he didn't care at all.

It's like they just woke him up for a nap and all he wants to do is go back to sleep.

Remember when Hillary Clinton was attacked for her Reno speech about white nationalism?

Can we now use the term "Deplorable Neo-Nazis" to describe the scum at this white nationalist, alt-right rally ?

He's currently employing Neo-Nazi's like Bannon, Gorka, Miller and others.

It's sad because the part of the speech that was told with the most enthusiasm was the little rants he did about Foxconn  or whatever. And then at the very end of his "unity" speech he turns to the veterans and makes a little joke.  Trump is just an ass of a person. He clearly doesn't know what's appropriate, but I guess I should've known that about him by now.

Trump is a symptom of the disease that plagues American society. He's certainly not the cause. However, he has empowered that disgusting and dangerous element, and with his speech today he has demonstrated no effort at calling them out specifically for their beliefs and actions, thereby allowing himself to continue symbolically representing them and benefiting from them.

How are they neo-nazi's? They are definitely on the far-right but they aren't neo-nazi's or declared ones at the least.

Trump owns these people.  They are his base.  Of course he is never going to outright disown them.

This isn't all on Trump. The entire Republican party own these people.

They have been coddling these assholes for 40+ years now.

That's a good point - virtually all of these alt-right protesters had grandfathers or great-grandfathers who fought the Nazis.

By the modern left's standards, most of the men who fought the Nazis in WW2 would be considered Nazis themselves. Take Enoch Powell, for example.

Why won't Trump say Radical White Supremacist Terrorism?

This needs to become a thing.

The notion that white right-wingers are a bigger terrorist threat than Muslims is utter nonsense based on misleading data.

He's giving aid and comfort to the 62 million people who enabled this so they don't feel any guilt.

Do all of the millions of people who voted for Hillary Clinton deserve to be blamed for what happened at a Virginia baseball field back in June?

Gorka wore a Nazi medal to the inauguration and it doesn't matter if they have declared themselves to be Neo-Nazi's if they hold the same beliefs.

I don't think they want to run over people with cars, or chant "Blood and Soil" or nor do they believe that abortion should be kept legal because it kills minorities. The white nationalists themselves at the rally are horrid humans but they are so far to the right that the alt-lite has left them. You could consider Bannon and the others to be alt-lite, that'd be fair but white nationalists, no.

Seriously that Trump speech may be the worst address ever given by a President.

Like, I realize nothing he could say would make me stand up and cheer, but he didn't even f**king try. He could not give less of a s**t.

I want him to get a wasting disease.

I do think, President Trump, should've talked about white nationalism and the evils of hating a fellow man and it is very sad he didn't.
