I'm kind of the same way on Israel. I think some people forget that many of us have positions on issues based off personal attachment. Communication is key on these types of things.

For atlas posters? Not really, but then I don't vote in those polls very often. I've only voted HP like two times ever.

Ideology plays a role, but not the sole factor. There are people I know that I don't agree with, but who I respect as a person. However, extremists to the right or left are always HPs.

This, though most people with an abrasive and unpleasant personality on this forum happen to be from the "opposite side" of me, so to speak, which isn't really surprising considering the lean of this forum. If this were a Republican-leaning forum, things would probably be reversed.

Either way, the "Opinion of x" polls are a bit ridiculous and childish anyway, and I often don't even "vote" in them.

It depends on how terrible their ideology is.  If a poster is clearly a racist or nazi or something like that, I'm voting HP.  It would also be difficult for me to vote FF for someone who supports criminalizing homosexuality (even though I've voted FF for posters who oppose gay marriage).

Usually though, I vote FF for nice posters even if I disagree with them much of the time.
