Nelson doesn't fall before McCaskill, Donnelly, and their ilk.

Susan Collins and John McCain held a joint press conference to announce that they are not decided on their endorsement, but are leaning towards President Trump.

Andrew Cuomo became the first candidate to declare on the Democratic side. He stated that he was the best candidate to defeat Trump or Kasich come November 2020.

Later that day, Cuomo's foe Bill de Blasio, Mayor of New York City, declared his candidacy. Cuomo was fed up with this and was already planning attack ad's against the de Blasio camp.

One of the most speculated candidates for President, Elizabeth Warren, announced her run two days later.

US Representative from Hawaii Tulsi Gabbard also declared her candidacy on the same day as Warren.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders declined to run, stating his old age and the fact that he thought both Warren and Gabbard were suitable candidates.

John Delaney, who announced his run in 2017, stated that he would continue his campaign despite "better" candidates running.

Senator Kamala Harris took the advice of her California Senate mate Dianne Feinstein and decided not to run for President.

Former Vice President Joe Biden announced his candidacy for President, calling on all Democrats to rally against Trump.

Talk show host Steven Colbert announced his candidacy as well. Many say that his candidacy should not be taken seriously, and that he is running as a joke. But, that's what people said about Trump...

Cory Booker, a young up and coming Democrat, announced his candidacy after Colbert's.

And finally, Caroline Kennedy, daughter of JFK and former Ambassador to Japan, declared her candidacy for President. If she wins, she would become the first woman President, and her and her father would be the first father-daughter duo to serve as Presidents.

The only real big third party candidate to declare was Lincoln Chafee, who stated that he intended to seek the Libertarian nomination for President. His only current opponet is radio talk show host Adam Kokesh.

Damn, those are some good candidates. Would definitely support Biden, Kennedy, and maybe Colbert, as well as Kasich, but that goes without saying.

Also, I might want to add that Mary Ruwart is currently a speculative candidate to run for the Libertarian nomination, so you could add her as competition for Chafee.

In 2024, he will run for the Reform Party nomination.

Why is Chafee running for the libertarian nomination?

He wants to run in the general election and knows he has no chance to win running as a Democrat or a Republican, and has become a fiscal conservative and social liberal.

Mary Ruwart has declared her candidacy for the Libertarian nomination. She was a candidate for the Libertarian nomination in 2008 when she lost to Bob Barr on the sixth ballot at the LNC. She was a convention speaker at the 2012 Libertarian Convention. She called out Chafee for "not being a real Libertarian", citing his many political parties over the years.

Libertarian Polls:
Lincoln Chafee: 35%
Mary Ruwart: 27%
Adam Kokesh: 23%
Undecided: 15%
