Austria refuses to consider Prussia's ill-gotten gains back in 1740 as legitimate. It will continue to claim Silesia as rightful Habsburg territory.
Austria extends an offer of protection to all German states that might feel threatened by Prussian aggression. Austria will regard an attack on its forthright ally Saxony as an act of war.

Statement from Vienna

We do not wish war and we do not see the fact we still claim Silesia as rightful Habsburg territory as making war necessary at the moment. Prussia has been warmongering, trying to plunge the European continent into war over the Silesia issue. Evidently it should be clear that if war begins, it is the fault of Prussia, partly due to their sly efforts to box in Austria's allies on other fronts in preparation for war. Vienna is fully aware of Prussia's willingness to grab and steal Austrian territory, as we so painfully learned in 1740. We do not wish for the same to happen to any of our allies, or to neutral nations in Germany - we want to protect all potentially affected parties from warmongering Prussia.
