The Conference of Venice is hereby planned for late 1758. The following powers are invited:

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland
The Kingdom of Prussia
The Kingdom of France
The Archduchy of Austria
The Empire of Russia
The Ottoman Empire

All nations must acknowledge the League of Armed Neutrality's humanitarian missions to aid the people displaced by conflict and submit to a ceasefire until the Conference is held. Should any nation fail to do so, they shall simply be excluded from the Conference.

Does the trading power of Venice not recognize the nation of Denmark-Norway? That is a great slight, indeed! We would be allies, but it is clear the countries of Italy like Lombardia in the hands of Vienna.

Excuse us, this was not intentional. The diplomat resposible will be dealt with appropriately. All the warring powers are invited to attend.

Venice would hope that the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire has been done according to the results of a free vote of the German people.

Should any power attempt military action against Genoa, they shall do so under the threat of being blacklisted by all Venetian traders and the threat of economic war. We may be bitter enemies of Genoa, but any power who takes over the nation will no doubt have designs on Venice. Rest assured, no power will be allowed to threaten Venice.

Venice is grateful to see the powers setting aside their quarrels in the interest of peace.

1) We have contacted the Ottoman Empire. We will not launch a direct assault, but further agitation by the Corsairs will result in their raiding parties being met by the full force of the Venetian navy.

2) The member of the League are right. The First Congress shall convene this month in Venice to discuss matters of procedure for the League, as well as electing a Secretary of the League to discuss the way forward as an alliance.

3) The humanitarian mission will go ahead. Thousands have been displaced by the war, and as a neutral power, it is our responsibility to ensure more do not suffer.

Venice unequivocally condemns the violation on the Treaty of Paris that is the funding of this mercenary corps known as the 'Russian Liberation Army' by Prussia, Denmark and the Ottoman Empire. This was a completely unjustified act, and a violation of the peace agreement. We would ask that King Frederick stop now before all of Europe turns against him.

Venice's doors remain open to mediate a peace conference between all warring nations

Venice has received detailed offers of peace from both France and Austria. Will the great nations of Great Britain, the Ottoman Empire and Kingdom of Prussia follow suit?

The Republic is humbled by the recommendations of the powers of Europe.

1) The humanitarian mission, while lnviously less sucdessful than hoped, still gave hope to thousands displaced by conflict. All nations are encouraged to undertake their own missions to the former zones of conflict in order to enhance the recovery of the displaced.

2) A final warning is being issued to the Corsairs. Should they continue their harassment of us, they shall be met with the full force of the Venetian military and  possible invasion of their territory. It is their decision. We certainly do not wish to escaalate, but we will take all necessary measures to defend our people.

3) The League of Armed Neutrality will continue its police of neutrality. However, we are skeptical of the claims that Prussia knew nothing of the violations of the Treaty of Paris. If Prussia did indeed know nothing, then we would in turn welcome additional security and funds for future aid missions.

The Most Serene Republic of Venice hereby recognises the Republic of Poland as a for al nation and is eager to extablish diplomatic relations. An Ambassador is to be dispatched immediately.

1) We are eager to establish formal relations with the Republic of Poland, but little more than that. We will offer a trade agreement between our nations and provide supplies needed to get those affected by war in Poland into housing with land to tend, but on the condition that remaining Royalists are treated fairly. Those who committed no crime deserve no punishment.

2) The League of Armed Neutrality has no need to exist in times of peace, but in order to prevent another war taking place, Venice offers the chance for members to vote on the creation of a League of United Nations, in order to ensure peace and prosperity throughout the world. All powers are invited to sign on to such an accord, should the League of Armed neutrality ratify it.

3) We must take proactive steps to ensure the Plague is kept at bay. Notices identifying the symptoms will be plastered all over the walls of Venice and her territories. In addition, the state will fund quarantine stations for those affected. Those affected by the Plague who voluntarily turn themselves over to quarantine workers and survive, will be duly rewarded once the storm has passed. Doctors are encouraged to do what they can, an the state will pay incentives for those who make significant contributions to ridding the world of this disease.

4) Venice unequivocally condemns the outrageous and unwarranted attack on the Republic of the United Provinces by Prussia and the United Kingdom. This was an internal affair that was being resolved by the Dutch people when the powers that be decided to intervene in matters that did not concern them. As such, the People's Assembly is to vote on issuing sanctions on trade with Prussia and the United Kingdom. Venice will not stand for this wanton violation of the peace.

Venice once again offers to mediate talks on avoiding war. With the Plague ravaging our world, the last thing we need is a return to war.

"The Danes" are not exactly there. It might be more appropriate to say:

- Catherine of Russia
- Sweden
- The French volunteers/The Danish volunteers

Semantics need not be discussed. Denmark clearly has a stake in this, and are jnvited to attend if they so wish.

Venice is prepared to dispatch 2,000 men as a peacekeeping detachment to maintain peace between the powers.

However, this is not a tacit endorsement of Austria's position.  Neither side shall receive special treatment from our soldiers.

Furthermore, any slight inflicted on our troops by either side shall result in an immediate declaration of war against that power.

The Venetian Peace Assurance Force shall consist of 2,000 men dispatched to the Austrian-Prussian border, and 2,000 dispatched to Prussian-controlled areas of the Netherlands. All units involved must adhere to the following Rules of Engagement:

No unit is to open fire unless fired upon first. We must not create a war; units are to undertake battle orders only when engaged.

Neither side is to receive special deference. We are there as a neutral power to ensure the peace.

Supplies taken from locals must be paid for or compensated for otherwise. We are not an occupation force.

Units are do avoid undue confrontation with Imperial or Prussian troops. We must not create an international incident.

We face a delicate situation, gentlemen. With the Plague ravaging the continent, the last thing needed is a major war.

Let us state right now that this is not designed as a permanent measure. Operations will cease once both sides have agreed to terms to be negotiated at a later date.

1) If the Polish wish to break our agreement, then so be it. However, they do so at the risk of an economic embargo from Venetian traders, something a new nation can hardly afford. We will not go to war unless we are directly threatened, which for the moment, we are not. The Polish Republic will face an economic blockade from Venice if they deign to break our agreement. It is our hope that the leaders of the Republic will see that they cannot survive without trade

2) Again, political reforms are required here for the people to have a true voice. The office of Doge will become a publically elected one. A term will last for 8 years, and an incumbent may stand as many times as they wish for re-election. The Doge will be determined by the result of a popular vote from all lands controlled by Venice. No man's vote shall count for more than another's.

3) If there is no wish for an international peacekeeping body, then so be it. We shall continue to maintain ties with all members of the League, and the member nations shall vote on introducing a Resolution allowing for the League's immediate reformation in the event of another major war. Venice will continue to pursue its peacekeeping duties.

We must unfortunately reject this offer. We are spread thin enough as it is with the Plague incoming.

This is what happens when catholic kingdom decide to unite. The plague has been vanquished!

1) The peace established in the Netherlands has been a direct result of our diplomatic efforts. Moreover, we have taken steps to increase our involvement in world affairs elsewhere. Let it be knwin that Venetian troops remain comitted to defending the peace.

2) The radicals may have a few points, but the sanctity of the Republic depends on the honour of the names these upper class families carry. The Assembly will have the chance to elect a Minister to handle the day-to-day governance of the nation, but final decision on all policy rests with the Doge; the Assembly must gain the Doge's permission to enact laws.

3) These sentiments are treason and will not be tolerated. Further talk of secession will result in military action.

Austro-Venetian Barbary Defence Treaty

The Austrian Empire and Venetian Republic hereby agree to mutually aid each other in military conflict with the Barbary States. Austria shall provide forces to assist in defeating the Pirates, and in exchange, shall be granted concessions in the form of tariff reductions and freedom of trade and movement, as well as the rights to one third of the territory captured from the Barbary States.
