The July election for the Southern Class II Senate seat will begin on August 11, 2017, and last through August 13. This thread has been created early in order to track the Federalist primary, which will begin on July 21, 2017, and last through July 23. As always, a spreadsheet has been created to track the election. I am free for the weekend, so the maps and spreadsheet should be updated with relative consistency.

Three Atlasians have declared candidacy at the present time; each candidate's name has been linked to that candidate's campaign office.

Damn. I'll be using my head, as this is a single-winner election. If Zoo Woe somehow doesn't get a majority, then I transfer last place until he does.

The final results are:
21- ZuWo
2-  JTC
2- Heatcharger
1- Peebs

This was clearly a landslide for ZuWo; he won by an even larger raw-vote margin than tmthforu94 did in the uncontested August 2016 election.

More importantly, this election also now holds the distinction of having the lowest percent turnout of any Southern senate election post-reset. I find it a bit ridiculous that 4 of our 7 delegates didn't even vote in this election (Santander, diptheriadan, TimTurner, TheShadowyAbyss), and that some people who were attentive enough to vote for JTC in the LJP endorsement didn't bother to vote for him in the actual election.
