You're the President During a Major Crisis

You've just been elected President, but within six months one of these five things happen... which would you rather have happen and what is your plan of action?  You could go down in history as one of the best leaders but only if you show great strength during a time of crisis...

This may sound awful, but I would like to govern during a major crisis.

Probably the depression since I atleast have something of a background in economics. I'd probably still do whatever my advisors say but I'd atleast have some idea of what I'm doing and what is going on.

An alien invasion risks governing with complete annihilation on the table, and you'd get the hawks suggesting nukes...which may be useless (sorta like how Independence Day saw Houston get nuked...but da' aliens lived until  a Deus Ex MAC-ina from Jeff Goldblum]

A recession would be best as a political opponent, but would suck otherwise.

And war is Hell.

So yeah, gotta go with da' space rock.

high risk is high reward to a point...the depression probably results in WW3. We are teetering on the brink as is with the last bit of nonsense.

And bonus question: how would Trump and Obama handle these things, provided each of these things can be survived?

I think i would be proud to be president during a world war, it would happen on the other side of the Atlantic, except maybe if it is world war 3
