As far as I can tell, the Democrat (Michael Showers) didn't even campaign here.

Tie between the two Reps at 1,207. Krazen is celebrating a victory that doesn't matter.

Let the guy do what he wants. Your obsession with him and what he posts is kinda creepy.
Indeed. One could call it “overcompensation”

lol tons of people are cringy/weird-looking that are great people and I would generally feel bad about making fun of.

This dude peddles outright falsehoods and spends basically all of his time supporting a horrific president who is intent on destroying the middle class and demonizing minorities. It's fun and hilarious to belittle him, just as it is fun and hilarious to make fun of Nazis, Steve Bannon, racist 4chaners, and school shooters.

You don’t make fun of him. At least if you do, you’re not good at it. You stalk his twitter feed and insist on posting everything he does here after every special election. Seriously. No one outside of the top 1% of biggest political nerds has ever heard of the guy.

Do you realize what forum you're on?

The Dem percent is about usual for this district, looking at past results. It also looks very gerrymandered between the black parts of town and the white parts of town. The neighboring 72nd district is JBE's former one, and it's just as Democratic as the 86th is Republican.

That's why Southern state legislative districts are, usually, so uninteresting to watch. Vast majority of them are either ridiculously Democratic (and usually Black), or ridiculously Republican (and usually White) with very predictable results.

Oh yeah, there's a special in Louisiana.

I saw "Tangipahoa Parish" and mentally checked out. As interesting as a special in the South Bronx.

Trump is more unpopular in CT, though.

And yeah, Belcher will win.

That particular Kentucky House district was ruthlessly gerrymandered by the Democrat party. So it was supposed to be a tough district. By rallying the people the GOP was able to break the vicious gerrymander and win a majority in the chamber.

lol

Rallying for a pedophile.

You don't know anything about Kentucky, Linda Belcher, or the psycho who won this seat in 2016.

Normally you would advise children to stay away from krazen the pedo, but luckilly, the putrid stench eminating from kookie k's unwashed body is enough of a deterrent already.

The special election for MO SD 17 has been scheduled for June 5.

SD 17 covers suburban Northern Kansas City with a particularly high density of union workers. It was represented by moderate GOP state senate Ryan Silvey until his appointment to the Public Service Commission on the first day of the legislative session this year (in order to get him out of Greitens' way, whom he had often thwarted from the floor of the Senate). Silvey won in a squeaker in 2012 (while winning comfortably in 2016)  and enjoyed considerable union support due to his pro labor voting behavior.

Here is a map I whipped together of SD 17 showing Jason Kander's performace in 2016, when he won by roughly 55-45:

The presidential figures stand at 49-45 for Trump in 2016 and 51-47 for Romney in 2012. Democrats swept all statewide offices here in 2012 and Kander and Koster both won here in 2016.
