Last time I polled this, the vote was 49% Yes, 51% No. Let's see what the result is now.

Yes.  Impeach and replace with someone else.  Pence, Comey, Hillary, anyone.

I support impeachment proceedings in order to distract the GOP from their sociopathic agenda, but if I were the 68th vote to remove him in the Senate I would vote against, because I'm even more terrified of a President Pence.

probably

But seeing him get Cartered out would be more satisfying, and President Pence is an even worse prospect.

This basically. Pence worries me far more because he isn't prone to the sort of self-inflicted failures that Trump is prone to--and could keep the same agenda but be far more low profile about it, which obviously wouldn't attract as much scrutiny.

I have to agree with Antonio here. While the Republicans deserve to be embarrassed just because, a President Pence is definitely something to be worried about.

Your fellow libs need to realize that this is true and I'm glad you pointed it out.  Everyone wants the Donald out........be careful what you wish for.

No. It's still too partisan an issue and will only serve to rally Republicans around Trump. Not to mention, even if it were successful, we'd just get Pence for president.

Impeachment is a good idea. However unlike most of you I'm not so annoyed with Pence unless Pence is complicit. However three things need to be in place, namely Trump's approval ratings in the 30s, a recession, and 50s-60s among Republicans. The goods are there to impeach him, its about the political will.

depends.

imho a corrupted president, not able to realize which nation is friend or foe is worse than a gay-bashing, welfare-cutting milquetoast man.

No we need to wait until his approval rating is at least under 20% so his cult can be isolated and crushed quickly when they get violent. If he is removed now there will be room for conspiracy theorists to promote revisionism of this abomination. I know this sounds like exaggeration, but impeaching him so soon will make this the next lost cause, or stab in the back, therefore he needs to stay a while longer, until the monstrosity is universally reviled.

His cult will never make up less than a third of the population so this is wholly unrealistic.

Trump deserves it, but it's more important not to have President Pence.

A Republican should sit in the White House, following Trump. Changing parties is not acceptable, because the country voted for a GOP Presidency. They didn't vote for President Pelosi. So if we move down the line of succession, it should be a Republican.

No, but it's wrong to dismiss impeachment as a bad joke or raw hackishness by now (e.g. read Lawfare's sober reporting on the alleged leak).

I hear that one of our septuagenarian resistance leaders was on cable news ridiculing the idea earlier this evening, btw. But we already new that it would take a few more defeats to finish off the aging generals who long ago lost their edge, as in any conflict that doesn't follow old templates.
