It was the case for a long time that people would only speculate that a leak of intelligence agency tools & vulnerabilities like this could find their ways into the hands of criminal gangs, but now that is actually happening. These particular vulnerabilities could be an issue for the next year at least, given the spotty records consumers and businesses have in updating their software.

Patch available for almost 2 months?  I know who is number one to blame here....clearly the assholes doing the illegal thing, but number two is the guy whose job it is to patch the servers (or possibly his/her boss if they were not giving the needed resources out).

Patch available for almost 2 months?  I know who is number one to blame here....clearly the assholes doing the illegal thing, but number two is the guy whose job it is to patch the servers (or possibly his/her boss if they were not giving the needed resources out).
Well, most of them were still using XP, so there wasn't much they could do, you know, other than actually updating their inksing software.
