Damn, that's a hell of a lot of blow, and not just a "teener" or a "ball" and in most States you wouldn't just get PCS-Cocaine, but also Felony Distribution charges because of the quantities of power involved.

In some States that could likely get you five years in the State Pen even with good behavior....

Personally, I suspect Mitch is more of a Bourbon Man and Cigar Back room smoking, deal swappin', horse tradin', lily livered coward that pockets tons of money in his personal bank account because of his political connections, than a Cocaine fiend, regardless of what I might have heard from my Uncle in West Virginia....

Still, I suspect that the "Cocaine Mitch" ads were more an attempt to tie Mitch to an insider wealthy DC swamp background, rather than any actual real knowledge regarding any of his substance consumption patterns....

People just don't appreciate good music anymore. John Denver was also a big time environmentalist, which comes out in his song "Rocky Mountain High" where he refers to development as "scars upon the land".

If it is to be changed, it should be to another word or phrase from the song like "Almost Heaven"

Which I once jokingly told Potus2036 that WV is "almost heaven" because when you are in WV you are almost to Pennsylvania.

Ole Mitch is rather unpopular everywhere.

1. Been in the Senate since 1985.
2. Very hated on the left for obstructing Obama
3. Very hated on the right for not being strident and ideological enough. Also he used to be a big pork barreler back when earmarks existed. I remember ficons as far back as 2005, lauding the likes of Tom Coburn and Jim DeMint but berating people like McConnell and Chambliss over this issue.
4. There is an accusation on the right that he didn't do enough to stop Obamacare in 2009/2010.

When you combine that with self-advancement mindset even at the expense of others (it is a means of policing ideological purity), it is just too alluring not to just run against McConnell for lapses both real and imagined.

Only 1/5 primary voters supported him. A very small percent would support him or vote against the gop.

That's all it takes. Does anyone really believe that without Blankenship running a write-in campaign that Morrissey could beat manchin buy more than any very small percent barring some out-of-left-field Scandal or the like hitting? Morrissey seriously had his work cut out for him to begin with, so it's tough to see him winning under any realistic scenario if Blankenship even gets as much as two or 3% of the vote.
