Trumplicans are out in full force defending this pedophile. Trying to make him the victim in this situation. Let me remind you these are the same people who railed on Hillary and the DNC on the Weinstein donations, tying him to every possible Democrat politician there is, and the same people who took the Kevin Spacey allegations as they came in. Now they defend concrete evidence of Roy Moore's crimes. There are THIRTY sources coming for this story and the woman who is accusing him is a registered Republican who voted for Trump in 2016.

No, no. Jones will win by 100 points. Move along, nothing to see here.

If/when Moore wins, I am replacing WV with AL as my most hated state.

Joe Walsh is accusing Republican politicians, who are coming out against Moore, for having some sort of a political motivation. The same person who used the Harvey Weinstein donations to further tear at  Hillary and the DNC.

A write-in campaign of another republican here would mean a Democratic victory here if they votes aren't split in a lopsided manner. The Alabama electorate is just too inelastic.
Alabama Republican are also very partisan this is different from Louisiana in 2015.
Are they really that much more partisan than Louisiana Republicans?

Yes. I served with a 19 year old Alabaman. Good kid, very conservative. He once asked me how many guns I owned and I said none. I was immediately called a far-left LIBRUL socialist, something I am not. Alabama is basically Afghanistan in terms of political values: very religious, very gun-loving, women almost second class, poverty all over, drugs, welfare for a huge portion, military held high but damn you if you don't tote 10/10 on defense issues, etc. It's an extremely conservative state.

West Virginia matches the shape and topography better.

Clearly deleting emails is more reprehensible than molesting children and feeding them alcohol.

No one is offering testimony for his character. It would be different if there were some kind of uproar. The thing is...there isn't. I know people deeply involved in Alabama politics. They told me Roy Moore was fake. I did not realize- and I do not think they did- it was to such a horrible extent. If something comes out and I have to eat my words, I will. Until then, I will give these accusers the benefit of the doubt based on what I know about Moore.

Yup. This is what I've been saying all this time as people scapegoated policy, campaigns, Hillary Clinton, or whatever else to explain Trump. Now it is clear as day for the world to see.

My respect for you just bounced tenfold. Thank you for having decency in an era so unacceptably bereft of it.

I hope this isn't true and if so he should drop out, but the one question I must ask is, why now? The reason for this being if these supposed victims were abused, why didn't they come forward when he could've lost in 2012.

Sounds like she didn't want to face the backlash. Also read somewhere that she was approached by someone about it this time, and was very reluctant to say.

As long as it's not two consenting, same-sex adults, the GOP, in its jaw-dropping mania, is fine with it. Prostitution = Vitter, Pedophilia = Moore, Sexual assault = Trump, etc.

And the thing about this is, Doug Jones winning won't flip the Senate, and it wouldn't completely halt the Republican Party's ability to legislate, and it's not like Jones is by any means favored to keep the seat if he won it, either.. It would just be a moderate impediment to Congressional Republicans, but that's how bad it is. People would rather vote in a sexual predator than give even a tiny bit of power to the other side - even if it makes no difference in the end.

Although, I guess to be fair, a local Republican Party chairman is still a massive hack - their position demands they be, so I'm not sure if they are the best representation for this. Party people like Jerry Pow are essentially obligated to support their party 100% no matter what, even if the entire Congressional delegation is caught eating children on video.
