So, to clear up some things:

-Moore cannot be replaced on the ballot
-If Moore withdraws, votes for him will not count (2nd place winner will win)
-Strange can run as a write-in if he wants to (sore loser laws don't apply to write-ins)
-AL courts could potentially change these requirements, allows for replacements, etc.

This plan is madness. If AL withdraws Moore but leaves him on the GOP ballot line and says that votes for him don't count, Jones wins easily against a write-in.

I largely expect the crooked AL Supreme Court to make a ruling in favor of the Republican Party to allow for a Moore replacement.

States as partisan as AL don't have courts that rule in favor of the people, its always in favor of the party.

The difference from Alaska 2010 is that Dems have a much higher floor in Alabama than Alaska, and the Democratic candidate isn't a total loser. A Strange write-in campaign would hurt Republicans.
