Good. Ruben Kihuen may be a somewhat better candidate, but defending his seat would require more work.

I don't think so. Crescent Hardy was the definition of an accidental Congressman, and the seat is rated D+4. I'm just really hoping we win the Governorship there so we can shore up Kiuhen and Jacky Rosen's seats and ensure Democratic supermajorities in the Assembly and Senate. No more 1-seat differentials anymore.

I agree with heatcharger. I suppose Kihuen's seat is still dem favored as a D+4, but Titus' District would be safe Dem for sure, its D+11.

I hope Titus runs. She's not the best candidate but any generic Democrat should be favored against Heller.

She also may be the best that Democrats can get, among those potentially interested.

Her answers to some of these questions sets off warning bells in my head.  Talking about demographics, voter reg. stats, and it being hard to turn out voters in midterms?  Seriously?  All of that might be true and I guess it's refreshingly (?) honest in a way that her answer is something other than "OH HO I LOVE MY JOB", but I just don't think talking about those sorts of things is very appealing to voters.  It also probably suggests that the internal workings of her campaign would be based on all that, which has its pros and cons.

I personally think she would make a good Senator because she's been so active with bills in the House on a lot of issues, but the hard part might be actually getting there.  Also worth noting that her electoral history isn't exactly stellar.

It's hard to tell whether she or Kihuen would be a better candidate this early, but I'd say she'd have about 50/50 odds of beating Heller, at this point.

I have a feeling Kihuen would be a stronger candidate (and a more entrenched incumbent with the noticeable age difference, 36 vs. 66), but she could still take the seat IMO. Tilt D / Tossup.

If Trump's approval is low enough in Nevada, Democrats might just need a warm body and not ncessarily the best possible candidate. Rather have Titus run than have to defend an open NV-04.

Titus's seat is secure because she moved into NV-1 after the census when Shelley Berkeley ran for Senate.  The book on Titus is that she was one of the most liberal Democrats who would have a tougher row to hoe in NV.  NV has changed since 2006, when Titus lost the Governor's race in a heavily Democratic year, so we'll see.
