I frankly hate the GOP agenda, but I believe that Pence would bring political experience to the job whereas Trump....well....as you see.
And why is the fact that he has political experience necessarily desirable? It might well mean that he'd be more effective at getting the GOP agenda through and hence leaving a far more lasting legacy.
Don't get me wrong. I do NOT want Pence for president, and neither do I want Trump. Both are disasters. I just feel that Pence is more capable politically than Trump, who looks and acts like a fish out of water in the job. Maybe Pence would end up being worse, who knows? But at least he instills confidence, IMO whereas Trump instills the exact opposite.
