Dutch Labour seems less corrupt.

The PvdA is a party with a good name and a long and respectable history that has been brought (very) low by the shallowness and stupidity of its leading figures. It is to be hoped that the shock of what has just happened causes it to remember - as an institution - what it is supposed to be for.

PASOK is now and also always been a criminal conspiracy masquerading as a political party.

Only on Atlas the PvdA wins an election lol. But yeah, PvdA is much better than PASOK. I really don't agree with them and I was terrified by the prospect of a Samsom cabinet in 2012 but it's still sad to see them lose 29 seats. They probably gave away too much to the VVD, but it's not like they didn't achieve anything, a VVD-CDA-D66 cabinet or something like that would have been much more right-wing.

PASOK created the corrupt clientist state that blew up in 2008.

So obviously not PASOK.

Co-created, which is bad enough.

Solely created by PASOK's Andreas Papandreou.  Creating a huge system of welfare state without the economy to pay for it is pretty HP.

If you honestly think that Karamanlis had nothing to do with the creation of the clientelist state then could I interest you in buying the Parthenon for a very reasonable rate?

Most of the increases in debt came with Andreas Papandroeu going into power and enacting new spending that was paid with by rising government debt from borrowing from foreign countries.

Ding ding ding.

For all the hate he gets on this forum, Dijsselbloem has been a decent Finance Minister. Asscher wouldn't even make that bad of a PM. Though it's easy not to be harsh on a party that is this weak.
