Lincoln-7.4% (-.1%)
South-8.1% (-.1%)
Fremont-6.2% (-0.0%)

From -.4% to -.1%. See, this is what happens when Labor gains the South.

Also happens when we spend weeks waiting for a Speaker, and start with a record high Unemployment of 8.2%.

Southern businesses are clearly responding to the introduced anti-business labor policies. Can't blame them either.

I encourage the Labor party to withdraw all their anti-business policies rather than playing games with the lives of Southern workers.

The average Southern worker is not a multi-millionaire CEO.

Most people other than out-of-touch, far-right politicians realize that pro-big-business policies like the ones Ben Kenobi is pushing are doomed to perpetuate the massive income inequality that the South has developed. The people of the South didn't see any wealth trickling down, and they voted the far-right out of the majority so that they stop getting trickled on.

It's good to see that Labor wants to make everyone poor.

And how is that working out for them? The economy's worse as businesses are bracing for the torrent of anti-business legislation put out by the Laborites.

I love how you are spinning a decrease in unemployment as a bad thing.

I'm not sure why you believe punishing successful people is going to help the south.

Actually let's just get rid of all regulations and legalize child labor.

International Headlines

Ken Clarke has formally triggered Brexit, setting up a tense two year process of negotiation and debate.

The DUP and Sinn Fein's lack of a power-sharing agreement in the Northern Irish executive has taken the country to the brink. Protests have begun to encourage leaders to find a deal that keeps power in Northern Ireland, as well as to protest the idea of a return to administration from London.

Teachers in Mexico are protesting over proposed cuts to education spending by President Pena Nieto.

South African President Jacob Zuma is considering stepping aside as part of a large deal to remove Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan from power.

Domestic Headlines

Massive spring rain storms have drenched the Pacific coast, leading to mudslides and extensive damages to property and businesses. 100 people have died over the last week.

A late-season snow storm dropped almost half a foot on some parts of Lincoln. The heaviness of the wet snow left thousands without power.

Police in Birmingham are investigating what appears to be a failed lynching. A young African American boy was found on the side of the road with wire tied around his kneck, badly beaten. He is alive but in critical condition after three days of care.

Northern Irish Executive Collapses, Power Returns to Westminster

"It would have taken strong international intervention to give us any hope of keeping power in Stormont," Northern Ireland Secretary Ben Wallace told reporters today, as he announced that Prime Minister Ken Clarke had decided not to call another round of elections in Northern Ireland. After weeks of negotiations, the DUP and Sinn Fein leaders failed to surpass the impass that they'd been locked in since the early March elections. As the Good Friday Agreement requires a Unionist-Republican power-sharing scheme in the Northern Irish Executive, the devolved legislature has collapsed and all effective powers have reverted to the Northern Ireland Office.

People have taken to the streets, both in Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland, to protest the end of home rule for the Northern Irish people. DUP leader Arlene Foster said she was "disappointed" that Westminister has to step in, while Sinn Fein leader Michelle O'Neill was more combative in her response, saying "the Northern Irish people voted against Brexit and they voted against Unionism. We have to respect the wishes of the people".This is just another issue Prime Minister Clarke will have to deal with as he continues down the Brexit path.

Agreed. How can there by a 0.3% drop nationally, but only a 0.1% drop in each region.

This is disastrous for Northern Ireland. I blame Mrs Foster for the collapse of Stormont for failing to step aside with the RHI investigations take place.

My apologizes on that I meant to have the unemployment rate drop equally in each region. I will retroactively fix that by showing a 0.3 drop in each region, their should be new numbers coming out today.

Yes I do deeply appoligize for messing up the regional numbers, I will make sure to ensure they averaged out. What I was trying to do was factor in federal legislation and federal government action into federal numbers plus regional numbers, along with factoring regional legislation and regional government action into the respective regional numbers. I will do a full restatement of all three numbers.
