This has me wondering, if Bernie were to run for the Democratic nomination in 2020, could he do significantly better with Black voters?

I think it's quite possible. The crowd really supported him by the looks of it.

Just that labor costs are far less of a factor than they once were. Tax breaks and looser regulation were at least as important as having a nonunion workforce to Nissan in deciding where to put a plant.

foreign companies don't care as much about unions than do US inhabitants.

the even cheaper countries, like mexico, are unionzed to much bigger margins.
