Anyone watching ?

This includes 21 events in:

* Cross-country skiing
* Nordic combined
* Ski jumping

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIS_Nordic_World_Ski_Championships_2017

I'm cross-country skiing myself, so I'm naturally a big fan of this (and the other winter sports like Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Biathlon).

Stefan Kraft just won the 2nd gold medal for us, but historically Norway and Germany are at the top of the medal table (+ Sweden and Finland of course).

The Norway-win in the women's relay today was also impressive.

Marit Björgen is just Shocked (she's now 36 years old and just got birth to a child last year and is back to winning Gold medals again just like before). Actually, at 36, your body should become weaker every day, but just like Ole Einar Björndalen she's still faster even than 25-year olds ...

It was also the 100th Gold medal for Norway today in Cross Country Skiing.

I'll probably try to catch a bit of it if I can. I know some people who know some people on the American team, so I like to root for them as if we're BFFs.

I'm Finnish myself but I tend to be interested in skiing only during Winter Olympics.

I'm not really interested in the next Winter Olympics because they are held in South Korea.

That means all the events are taking place at 3am or 4am in the night ... Tongue

The best time for working Europeans to follow Winter Olympics is if they are held somewhere in California or Colorado, which means primetime in Europe.

Currently, Poland is in a tough Gold medal battle with Austria and Germany in the Large Hill ski jumping team event.

Earlier in the day, Norway had a quadruple win in the women's 30km (19 mile) cross-country skating event.

If we combine 2017's World Championships so far in Alpine Skiing, Biathlon and Nordic Skiing - as well as the World Cup season in Snowboarding and Freestyle, Austria looks in good shape for next years Olympic Games.

But Germany and Norway also look extremely strong, assuming the athletes' condition remains the same in the next year.

Alpine+Nordic+Biathlon 2017 so far:

13 Gold medals - Germany
  7 Gold medals - Norway
  5 Gold medals - Austria

The Snowboarding and Freestyle WC are starting next week in Sierra Nevada (Spain).

Poland wins Gold !

Their first Team Gold medal ever (PS: they have an Austrian head coach).

Norway with Silver, Austria with Bronze (Germany did fall behind to 4th place).
