Based on Mike's Northern thread.

First thing's first, gubernatorial election, beginning March 10. dfw is the only declared candidate, and will presumably drop out (and resign March 3, making Speaker diptheriadan the 3rd Governor of the South) if he wins the election. From there, Peebs (yours truly) is a likely Labor candidate, regardless of who wins. Make sure you vote in this.

There's also an election for Chamber of Delegates at the same time as the Southern gubernatorial election. There are currently three declared candidates for Delegate (JustinTimeCuber, Classic Conservative, and Ben Kenobi). While we still have three weeks to go, this is a five person body, and we need at least five candidates. If you're interested in becoming more than a likely voter, then run. What do you have to lose? If you do, you can always try again later. If you don't run, then at least remember to vote, on the same ballot as the gubernatorial election.

Our next Senate election is in April, where the incumbent senator is Leinad, who has yet to confirm whether or not he is running for a second term. Remember to vote in this when the time comes, too.

Southern Delegate OneJ_ has been elected to the House, leaving Governor-designate diptheriadan to replace him after the inauguration of dfwlibertylover as President and OneJ_ as Representatives.

I also could've sworn there were other candidates that declared anyway.

I'd assume vacancies are filled by appointment and not special election, and that those announcements are treated as declarations for the election in March. I could be wrong, of course.

So this means that Dip will have to appoint two citizens (one will be Speaker) to the Chamber after becoming Governor temporarily until the next election (which is literally right around the corner from the 3rd).

That's a lot. Me and DFW are causing trouble. Tongue

Wait, why three? Wouldn't there still be Kenobi, Spenstar, and Santander?
