For the GOP:
President: muon
Vice President: Sunrise
Speaker of the House: NC Yankee (seems to appreciate the important of coalitions)
Senate Majority Leader: Goldwater
RNC Chair: Me

For the Dems:
Senate Minority Leader: Southern Gothic
House Minority Leader: LLR
DNC Chair: Jfern hahaha

Fixed for my preference, haha.
That was a Fantasyland joke, I think.

Yeah, it was, though it also fits my personal preferences pretty well. Tongue

LOL, oops...

Why the leftist wing of the Democratic Party is socialist
No, it isn't. "Socialism" is not a blanket term for the populist left, any more than "fascism" is a blanket term for the nationalist right. Bernie Sanders may call himself a socialist, but his rhetoric and the vision for America he presents is much more in keeping with the liberal tradition than it is with anything Marx wrote.

Being pro-life would be a defacto requirement for being a respectable citizen, much less in public life.

That's completely insane. There's nothing wrong with being pro-choice; it doesn't even mean you personally agree with abortion in most or all instances.

I'll make a list of who I'd like to see in each of the major positions for both parties.

Democrats:

President- Al Franken
House Leader- Joaquin Castro
Senate Leader- Tammy Baldwin (I really like Schumer, but someine who can excite the base is needed)
DNC Chair- Jason Kander
DGA Chair- Jerry Brown, and then Jon Bel Edwards

GOP:

President- Jon Huntsman
House Leader- Justin Amash
Senate Leader- John McCain, and Susan Collins when he retires
RNC Chair- Susana Martinez
RGA Chair- Charlie Baker

-You do realize this is just a massive recipe for gridlock, especially on the Republican side? The Amash v. McCain battles would be something to behold.

Frankly, I really doubt that there will be a major gridlock in the same party. That's not electorally good. More like, it'll provide a check which will moderate each person's extreme stances. If it does lead to a gridlock, however... Replace Amash with McMorris Rodgers.

-Most of that list inspires me to throw up. Wyden, Tester, and Cuellar are kinda acceptable, I guess.

Bernie Sanders is clearly a socialist(he even admits it) and Warren, Ellison have basically his views so they are  in fact socialist. Booker is not a socialist .

Someone who believes that the government should have more say in how the wealth is distributed than the free market, and government main goal should be to achieve equality instead of opportunity. It also believes that more and more industry should be nationalized. Bernie clearly believes in all those things.

-I'm pretty sure some of the left-wing Dems would be actual socialists if they could do anything they wanted to. Bernie is, I think, a tad to the right of a standard-issue socialist.

A standard social democrat then? Bernie (unfortunately), does not support nationalisation, which would  make him more socialist.

Equality of Opportunity, is what social democrats strive for, a person who is born into a millionaire family, and can afford private education and Yale, does not have the same opportunity to those of rural appalachia, born into a life of poverty, lack of jobs, despair, or poor neighbourhoods in the inner city, born into many a time a life or poverty, hopelessness, crime and drugs.

A government that strives for social and economic equality and a curbing of inequality (through social programs, extensive welfare state and jobs) helps to achieve such opportunity, and reduce poverty and homelessness.

GOP:
President: Scott Walker
Vice President: Mike Pence
Speaker of the House: Jim Jordan
Senate Majority Leader: Marco Rubio
RNC Chair: Paul Ryan
RGA Chair: Matt Bevin
Platform Co-Chairs: Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, and Pat McCrory

Democrats:
Senate Minority Leader: Joe Manchin
House Minority Leader: Collin Peterson
DNC Chair: John Bel Edwards
DGA Chair: John Bel Edwards (doing double duty)

Being pro-life would be a defacto requirement for being a respectable citizen, much less in public life.

This is the best selection I've seen for the GOP and Democratic leadership. I don't particularly care for Rubio but otherwise those party leadership teams look great.

-I'm not a huge fan. Mostly oppose the GOP slate, am fine with the Democratic one (that's the best they could get, probably).
