Miller in his long and sordid career was consistent on one matter and one matter alone: of the absolute imperative to position himself in whichever political position was the most electorally advantageous. I was born pretty rich and lucky, yet I still vote Democratic more often than Republican. I mean, I look like a cow, so it could be that.

Being born "rich" (that definition depends entirely on who you talk to, and as an evil Republican, I have the audacity to think you shouldn't necessarily be ashamed for your life goals and perspective around your upbringing, even if it was a fortunate one) is not a sin.  It wasn't your choice.  Acting on human nature to want to try to enjoy such an upbringing, possibly even provide your children with an even more fortunate one, isn't either.

Slight FF. He was a good Georgia governor and a okay senator. An interim senator. When he endorsed George W. Bush in 2004, he was hated amongst DU/DailyKos and still to this day. He is a conservative Democrat. I like some of his style.
