I wouldn't really care, as long as the candidate doesn't make annoying statements to pander to the Religious Right.`

If the person was just personally religious, I wouldn't care one bit.  If the person's aim was to put his or her religion into law, I would be much less likely.

Less, but since 90% of the country is religious, it's not something I consider heavily.

between wouldn't matter and less likely.  It might get annoying, but something I could stand unless she was too religious or her religion was too extreme.

D-Depends.

If they used their faith in a positive and uplifting way, more.

If they used their faith in the standard way - as true devotion with some political gain involved, I wouldn't care.

If they use their faith to push their agenda, then less likely.

Generally, things fall into the middle, so D-Don't care.

D-don't care. I would vote on actual issues, not what I view as points of tangential importance, like the candidate's religion.

It wouldn't matter to me, so long as they don't want to push their agenda through their religion.

I don't care, if they share views similarly to mine I'll vote for them no matter what.

If they spend too much time making the fact known, less

If they just happen to be but don't let it interfere with what they should be doing, don't care

Although I find it annoying in times of crisis leaders get on TV and tell everyone to pray.  What better way to do jack sh**t and feel good about it.  Bill Maher is right on that one.

How religious are we talking about?  If it's someone who simply adheres to the morals of religion, then I'd be more willing to vote for that person.  If they want to legislate their religion onto others, then I'd be less likely.

On the whole, more.

Although I'd probably vote for the Atheist over the loudly Evangelical.

Loudly being the key word there.

I agree, though I voted D-less since the latter has seemed more likely than the former.

More, unless he's a theocrat of course. If someone is truly religious on a personal level I trust their morality more.

If both candidates were the same, I would probably lean in favor of the one with a stronger religious belief.  However, if the non/less-religious candidate was better than the religious one, I'd vote for the non/less-religious one first.  Religion is not on the top of my qualifications list for candidates.
