Whilst I like Seattle, I've been there at least once for the PC conventions, and we were out West last time.

Current Results (thru Emsworth)

Round 1
3 - Lake Placid
1 - Minneapolis
1 - New Orleans
1 - Seattle

Everyone so far has Lake Placid as either their first or second preference.  It'll take at least four unopposed votes for Minneapolis, New Orleans, or Seattle to tie Lake Placid at this point.

Please vote on the following:

1. On amending the current affirmative action plank to read:
The Independent Liberal Party summarily opposes affirmative action for hiring practices. We do encourage governments, both federal and regional, to have open hiring policies, where positions are advertised and a variety of qualified applicants are considered, regardless of race or gender.

Those in favor, say Aye; those opposed, say No.

(Note: The current version is: The Independent Liberal Party summarily opposes all affirmitive action in today's society. We consider it regressive and hope that through true equality the divide of race will be broken down.)

2. On adopting an age of consent plank:

Version A:
1) A 14 year old may not have Sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 12
2) A 15 year old may not have Sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 13
3) A 16 year old may not have Sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 14
4) A 17 year old may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 14
5) An 18 year old may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 14
6) A 19 year old may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 14 1/4
7) A 20 year old may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 15
8) A 21 year old may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 15 3/4
9) A 22 year old may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 16 1/2
10) A 23 year old may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 17 1/4
11) Anyone older than 24 may not have sexual relations with anyone younger than the age of 18

Version B:
The Independent Liberal Party supports an age of consent for sexual relations of 16 years; We also support the right of teenagers aged between 14 and 16 years old to have sex with similarly aged teenagers. We support legal systems that distinguish between sex between two loving teenagers where one is below the age of consent and the predatory "grooming" of a young teenager by a much older adult.

Vote in favor of Version A, in favor of Version B, or opposed to both.
