I'm going to guess somewhere in the area of 39%, but on the rebound after a low point around three or four days from now.

No net shift. It will take a lot more than this for his loyal supporters, who invariably feel they need to support their God-Emperor, despite their initial uneasiness, to buckle and abandon ship. (Which will, of course, invariably happen down the road. Just not this time).

38-40

The Muslim ban is looking to be a major misstep. Even Republicans who agree with the idea willl admit Trump screwed the pooch on it.

RCP doesn't include the recent Morning Consult/POLITICO poll though.

If we include this one too, the RCP average would be slightly positive (44-43 approve).

But it seems there's a downward trend ...

The polls are fake news. According to the pollsters, Hillary should be having a nice honeymoon right now.

They weren't wrong nationally and these approval ratings are national....ergo, they're not that far off if Trump is generally in the mid 40s.

In 2012, the Democrats and their pundits tell us to look at the state polls and not the national polls. Romney is losing in Ohio!

In 2016, the Democrats and their pundits tell us to look at the state polls and not the national polls. Bluewall Bluewall Bluewall! Trump can't win Pennsylvania or Wisconsin!

They get smashed despite a 2-1 money advantage, and now point to the national polls. Lol.

No they weren't. The results were only outside the margin of error in a few landslide states.

Even if you count that as still "wrong," it was only by a few points

46-48%. Some Americans don't care. The only ones who are upset are liberals, who seem to want to bring in anyone here without some type of vetting. It's asinine. This is why I am a proud centrist.

People have repeatedly pointed out to you how thoroughly we already vet people, yet you conveniently act like we let everyone in willy-nilly. LOL

Obama did not do good vetting. Jeh Johnson and Obama were somewhat weak. Let's get serious here. The OSU shooter would have never did what he did if he was strongly vetted.

35 to 40% with ~12% undecided and with both no opinion and approving falling and disapproving rising.

-There seems to be an inverse relationship here between that variable and memory of him later as a great president. WJC was remembered much better than the Bushes.

Looking back on the campaign, Trump's favorables dipped the lowest when other Republicans criticized him. A lot of that going on today.

Do you actually know what Trump's ban does? Do you know who his order attempted to keep out of the country? Are you aware of any of the specifics of this issue at all? Or are you just repeating a generic talking point you heard about "extreme vetting"?

that seems right.

Assuming he doesn't do something else that's utterly ridiculous.
