What grade would you give Trump's first week in office? I'd give him a D mostly because of his tantrum about his crowd sizes and the decision to make the taxpayers pay for the wall

Indeed. Chicago alone would've won me over, but we got so much more.

F

Too much whining that most people voted against him and almost nothing else besides a dog whistle move on Chicago.

Also letting Congress run amok.

EDIT: He gets a very high F instead of 0 because of killing TPP and the abortion thing.

A very weak D, solely due to TTIP. Otherwise a solid F.

Positive: Dissing the media, introducing the wonderful phrase "alternative facts", great relationship with Israel + the UK, plans to kill the UN (thanks Bannon), no refugees, not taking seriously the women's marches + whining about his inauguration crowd, executive order against abortion, and most importantly: not being Obama

Neutral: TPP

Negative: Repealing Obamacare without a plan to replace it, lots of bad and probably corrupt cabinet picks, unnecessary bullying of Mexico (he better not do the tariff thing), EPA stuff

Make of that what you will.

F, it was like seeing a hurricane take form of a human, make it even more emotionally unstable and unleash it upon institutions that are essential for Democracy, free trade, the global institutions that prevent many wars, and the very concept of facts. So yeah, total wreckage.

A++++. America is already, in the course of a week, well on the way to attaining greatness again.

My only major complaint is that he is a bit cartoonish in handling climate issues. I'm against the Paris Treaty as much as any Trumpster, but does the EPA's website really have to rid itself of that information? You can believe and combat climate change without having the internationalist agenda of some soft European social democrat. I'm not big on some of the cabinet picks either (particularly Rick Perry, Mnuchin, and Nikki Haley), but it'll be fine. The talk about Feds in Chicago was blown out of proportion, though I'd oppose any such measure if it were to happen. The Twitter is going to be a big problem, but he uses it strategically and I wouldn't want to give it up if I were in his shoes.

So what is the good, the great, and the amazing?

The media: Trump has put them in their place. The media is not the fourth branch of government. They're mainly a pack of professional partisan liars, who live filthy personal lives and who are willing to stab anyone in the back over anything. CNN doesn't have a right to be called on at Press Briefings. I like that Trump is bringing in new outlets to the White House and freezing out the media elites.

Foreign affairs: I've made it clear that I'm relatively pro-Israel while also believing in a two-state solution. The UN resolution was a step in a good direction, though it was clearly based not in a desire to better the situation but rather sour grapes. Hence why Obama waited until his last weeks in office to stick it to Netanyahu, whom I despise. I like that Trump isn't going to play games with our foreign policy. I like that he is working for detente with Putin, and fighting super-national entities ranging from the UN to the EU and every NGO in between. The foreign policy is going to be the highlight of his presidency as we work to shatter the post war order, and that clearly is underway now.

Economy: The moves to repeal Obamacare were a bit rushed, and I wouldn't have done it that way. But the Republican base is entirely deluded. They think that because Obama implemented complex policies simply with a pen and a phone, the President can do the same thing. He can't. A repeal is a complex process and a replacement plan will hopefully be ready soon enough. I also love that NAFTA is clearly on the outs, that TPP is now a memory, and that he already began saving jobs before taking office.

Domestic issues: The wall is happening, and it will be a big beautiful Trump wall! I can't wait to get drunk on the Dreamer tears. The pro-life message coming from the White House is a nice touch. I'm optimistic that Trump will get to stack the Supreme Court's bench over the next four to eight years with at least two or three appointments, which is exciting. Gun control is no longer a serious threat.

These are good times to be an American. Perhaps not the best time to be me, but to be an American, there is no doubt-we are well on our way to the American Renaissance.

F.  I miss the steady hand we had under Obama, and that we would have had now under Clinton.  Our political situation is increasingly frightening, and that troubles me (even as my life is getting better for me personally).

A: A very solid and unexpectedly great first week.  I'm really excited to see where we head over the next four eight years.  There is a real chance that he could become the second-best modern president (passing George W. Bush, who is there now).  Or, if his SCOTUS picks directly lead to the end of abortion in this country, he could even pass Reagan.

A

It's fascinating to see how much can get done in one week. Contrary to what people thought, he didn't go totally bananas and I am looking forward to see what else he'll be able to get done.

The poll would've been better if it was divided up by party, since naturally a red avatar will give Trump a D or F while a blue one will opt for an A or B.

Is there a grade higher than an A+?

- TPP is dead
- NAFTA is on the chopping-block
- Federal hiring freeze in effect
- Executive order for the construction of THE WALL issued
- P I P E L I N E S
- Mexico City Policy reinstated
- Criminal aliens to be deported
- Refugees restricted
- Sanctuary cities defunded
- ICE given power and authority to actually enforce current laws

Trump could resign right now, after a week in office, and he would leave behind a greater legacy than the last four of his predecessors.

D. I was very happy with him killing the TPP, but at the same time, he's approved the DAPL and Keystone XL which will accelerate climate change at an alarming rate, restricted a woman's right to choose, made a dog whistle about Chicago, basically suppressed the media (which is prevented by the First Amendment),  forcing the EPA to  arch in lock step.
