All Richard Spencer is famous for is talking about his racism, something I highly doubt FDR would be bothered by enough to want him punch in the face, considering he chucked more than a few people in internment camps for being yellow.

Damn, shots fired. But World War II was such a mess, our education system likes to sweep under the rug what we did to Japanese people (Asian people in general).

Nah, he was a gentleman.

LBJ probably would, though.

LBJ was just as racist as Richard Spencer is.

Depends on the context.

Probably not with racism, but all bets are off if his dog becomes a target.

The stupidity in this statement is ridiculous, particularly in regards to the LBJ of late.

I'm no LBJ fan, but that's patently ridiculous.  When did LBJ call for a "white ethnostate?"

damn, almost tied?  Some of you lefties don't think much of FDR do you?

If somehow FDR was brought to life in 2017, no, he wouldn't have sucker punched a neoNazi.  It's disturbing how many pro-violence lefties we have here.  I honestly had no idea.  I guess Obama dropping all them bombs rubbed off on his followers.

I know you want to say Jesus in the subject but feel like you already know the answer, so you have to resort to something else. What I am unsure about is why FDR over opebo?

excellent and hilarious point

opedo wouldn't sucker punch someone though as he and manual labor are not on speaking terms.  He would pay a just barely post pubescent teen boy to do it.

I said FDR because he ordered the death of millions of people like Richard Spencer.

He would've handled him the same way he handled Father Charles Coughlin: Push his message off the airwaves, and use the FBI to threaten to expose his homosexuality.

FDR wasn't the polite man people seem to think he is. That's partially why I liked the bastard. He built coalitions but he also intended to smash his opponents - he approved of a whole bunch of Democratic primaries in the South in 1938 to make more room for his agenda. He lost that fight but it showed the kind of politics FDR was about.

FDR probably wouldn't have punched Richard Spencer out of his own circumstances, but he was a Roosevelt after all, a rassler, a fighter.

+1.

Don't forget FDR had the Southern Democrats to keep happy too.

Uh, seeing as how if I was alive during his Presidency I'd probably feel the same way toward him I do toward Obama and Sanders now...
