Agree with bullmoose here.  Thanks, btw.  Maybe being at the top means I'm the chief... Smiley

Also seems to be in a general right to left fashion, though you could be the chief if he separates you and makes phillip the most right...which would make me the third most right of the eight...which is...weird.

You mean on the social side of the scale.  I am certainly not furthest from the right on the economic scale.  You've got me beat, there.

Of course.

Conor Flynn's Supreme Court of the United States?

Chief Justice: Bullmoose or Ernest (a hard selection)

Associate Judges:

  • Sam Spade
  • Peter Bell
  • Emsworth
  • Afleitch
  • Verily
  • Inks. LWC
  • NDN

For sure -- Bullmoose, Afleitch, Verily, Torie, Conor and Nym.

Maybe Boris, Brittain33 and BobLoblaw.

SJoyce, SPC, Cathcon, Rogue Beaver, Matt from Vermont, Rooney, Maxwell, Miles, and Hagrid. Miles would be a great Kennedy like figure.

Great idea for a thread! Smiley

I guess I'll go for:

Chief Justice: Polnut

Associate Justices:
- Marokai Blue
- Snowguy
- Franzl
- Afleitch
- Mr. Moderate
- Ernest
- Torie
- NCY

I tried to balance partisan leanings, but since this forum is to the left of America as a whole, it is fair that the Court should be too. I've also tried to pick posters who have shown deep knowledge/interest in judicial issues and/or relatively cool-headed people.

Trying to pick some folks with at least some interest in the law, though there is a bit of a tilt here.

Antonio's court is not actually that ideologically unbalanced. It in fact is unbalanced only in being over-represented by centrists. I think I know with that court what the gay marriage result would be however. Smiley

True! Cheesy

In fact, constitutional interpretation is one of the few issues where I sometimes find myself in disagreement with many of my fellow liberals. Not that I have any sympathy for the hacktivists of the right side of the court, or even for Kennedyesque moderation. I believe in judicial restraint above all and am pretty wary of activism in general. That's why I think it's good to have a lot of moderates in it. Actually, I would probably disagree with my own court with regard to gay marriage. Tongue

Tony would probably be my CJ, because we share a similar dislike of judicial activism.
