This evening, at 6pm EST, was the first episode of the new MSNBC news program, 'For the Record.' The host is a former, long time host and journalist from FOX News - Greta Van Susteren. I decided to watch the program, considering I am quite supportive of MSNBC (it's the only TV news channel I'll watch) and sometimes watch their evening programing. Since she was a FOX News host (a network I abhor), I was skeptical, yet open to her show and, to tell the truth, she didn't disappoint. She was a pleasant break from the undeniable liberal-slant of the network - without the egoism of Joe Scarborough. I liked her moderate stance and thorough, professional approach to handling her guests. It actually enabled me to listen to Sen. McCain without wanting to mute the TV; he even made some fairly good points.

Anyway, I encourage you to check it out if you're interested in TV news and would like a truly fair and balanced journalist approach the day's issues.

I'm very excited to see how this plays out. 5-8pm on MSNBC is the best 3 evening hours on cable news right now. (Morning Joe will always be my favorite)

I love Morning Joe and catch an episode whenever I can. But my favorite host on MSNBC is still Chris Hayes; I assume you dislike him?

I'd rather drink a quart of cyanide with Martin Shrekli yelling 'your gay' in the background.

WRONG. The honor goes to The Rachel Maddow Show, with The Last Word coming 2nd.

MSNBC is great. Intelligent conversation with reasonable people. Greta should be a good addition to the team.

I heard Brett Favre called in, so that's a plus.
