I think this is a distinct possibility:

-Vox's demographic target is virtually a total overlap with the demographics of hipster Christians.
-Vox's demographic target includes virtually zero Catholics.

Vox's readership share that are hipster Christians must therefore be significantly higher than the share of the general population, and its Catholic readership must be significantly lower.

I was reminded of this because my pastor quoted Vox tonight of course.

There are plenty of liberal "Catholics" who completely swamp hipster Protestants in pure numbers, so probably not.

I've never read a single positive thing about Catholicism in Vox. And I read it a lot.

"Liberal Protestants" don't have the same overlap with Vox readership though since the group includes lots of olds.

Hipster Christians read Jacobin, not Vox, and if you really were one, you'd already know that, brodda.

I've recently started reading Jacobin and no, it doesn't. Most of what it says is perfectly in line with the Bernie wing of the Democratic party.

Per capita, yes.

In total numbers?  Unlikely.

I'm not sure I've ever read a single positive thing about Catholicism from a liberal "Catholic" either. Wink

But how many "liberal Catholics" are in Vox's demographic?

Ones who are nominally Catholic but not practicing, or who only go to church on Christmas and Easter? Probably quite a few.
