The changing standard.

Bush Sept 30, 2003:
"If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action."

Bush Today:
"If someone committed a crime, they will no longer work in my administration."

A new poll says that somewhere around 75% say that Karl should be fired.

It's pretty sad that you have to put extra spin on a Daily Kos story in order to get your point across.

Uh . . . the investigation isn't over yet.  Once it is, and IF Rove is found to be guilty, then it's up to Bush to fire him.  To condem Bush now for not firing Rove is just stupid/partisan (take your pick).

So you claim that Rove didn't leak classified information? Then how was he able to tell reporters that Joe Wilson's wife was covert?

If you think that Rove might not be guilty, with that level of skeptism, I really hope you didn't support the Iraq war.

Can you quote a story where a reporter states that Rove told them that Plame was covert?  All I have seen are denials that he provided that information.

Here. The covert part wasn't mentioned, but that doesn't make what Rove did any more legal.

I just paid $2.65 a gallon for gasoline.  How many threads do we have on that subject and how many on a Rove leak that no one will care about in a month?

Let's get our priorities straight, let the investigators do their work free of political interference, and then make judgements, okay?

Unfortunately, the Democrats cannot afford to allow a good chance like this to slip by.  They have elections coming up, and if they can some how show strength by taking on the WH (even in a losing case as this turns out to be), they might just scrape up enough votes to win a seat or two.

Well, a minor correction, but he that doesn't change the fact that he ignored his non-disclosure agreements and leaked the classified information that Joe Wilson's wife worked for the CIA. It's classified because she was covert. So basically he said "Joe Wilson's wife works for the agency" instead of "Valerie Plame is covert CIA".

Anyways, Rove's version of the story has changed. I suppose you're more interested in whether jfern's version of the Rove story slightly changes than if Rove's version of the Rove story greatly changes.

Sad how you guys would rather mindlessly bash me than pay attention to the news that I'm conveying. We weren't sure exactly what had happened until Cooper had published this article, so some minor details had been corrected. On the other hand, Rove has massively changed his story and talking points about the scandal. If you guys weren't such blind partisans you'd realize that the 2nd one is the story, and not the first one.

Unlike you reality challenged Republicans I will correct my mistakes. That makes me a much better person then people like J.J. will argue a clearly wrong position to the death.

Actually, we are doing less "bashing" than you are, as well as less spin.  Rove has said from the beginning he didn't know her name nor out her as a covert agent.  However, you constantly state otherwise, even when your own sources contradict you.  The only blind partisan has been you (and the talking heads in the press).  Not a bash . . . just constructive criticism.

Rove lied. What part of that don't you understand? He claimed that he found out that Wilson's wife was CIA from reading the Novak article.

Are none of you Republicans upset by the fact that they outted the Wilson's wife in retaliation for the fact that he discovered that some of the intelligence that the Bush adminstration fixed to sell this stupid war was fixed?
