Vienna: Immigrant youth gang violence explodes

Vienna has been growing by 40.000 people each year now, going from around 1.6 million people to 1.9 million over the past decade - mostly by immigration from Muslim countries.

While immigrants from countries like Germany, France, US, China etc. usually "behave" and no real problems are reported, many of the recent Arabs and North Africans as well as Chechens are turning out to be a real pain in the ass.



Every day, there are now mass brawls between Afghan youth gangs and Chechen gangs at various locations in Vienna -> mainly in and around the major train stations, shopping malls and parks.

This leads to severe injuries, because the gangs knife each other down and threaten police officers. They also ignore the rule of law, preferring to "settle things within the community and within Islamic law" - which means most of them are not appearing in court.

If for example an Afghan youngster is seen with a Chechen woman, the whole Chechen youth gang will show up in front of the guys house and kick the sh*t out of him because of "honor-related reasons". Also, Afghans and Chechens often have differencies about how the Islam is interpreted.

Drug dealing, bomb threats, prostitution, rape and illegal weapon dealing is also a huge problem, which is mostly a Nigerian and North African thing.

Sad to see the horrible effects of this uncontrolled mass immigration turning Vienna into a battlefield of people who do not even respect our system of courts and laws.

A real parallel society is taking shape, something I have warned about for the past years.

It will be really hard to turn these youngsters around and integrate them into society.

Why are there Chechens in Austria?

There are about 50.000 Chechens in Austria, most of them in Vienna and the big cities.

They came as refugees after the Chechen War in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when Putin bombed Grozny into ashes like they do now in Aleppo ...

Well I don't know what to say. I guess Europe just doesn't have the right cultural mix to integrate people. The segregation in America has much more to do with decades of racism and exclusion rather than cultural differences.

So we say "young men are the problem...lets only allow women and children!" Time and again this just degrades to chaos as mom is trying to provide and the kids just join the gang.  US housing projects featured that fatal flaw to the point where fathers had to be hidden because they weren't supposed to be there.

But these are new phenomena in Austria...a homogenous nation if ever there was one.

sure, but that doesn't change the fact that quite a lot have come in the last 50 years without acting like the "new immigrants".

Tbh in the UK you get way more complaints about Eastern Europeans than Asians or Africans, especially during the noughties. This may be unique to this isle though.

My perception that it's a mix of UK having taking more East Europeans in, and doing less to get their own poor into the work force, but also complains by proxy. You can say things about White European immigrants than darker immigrants, while looking less racist.

Nah, I think it's because the EE influx basically came to be viewed as a monolithic underclass of low income people, while Asians are more broadly represented across various classes. The other thing is that the Eastern European influx penetrated quite deeply into rural areas. Like, my extended family live in a post-industrial town in rural Somerset which was largely untouched by immigration from Asia and Africa but saw a huge increase in Poles, Lithuanians etc. during the last decade, which attracted a rise in petty crime (people stripping copper and other metals from building sites etc was a big deal back then). I don't really think it was a complaint by proxy though. The sort of people who really used it as a tubthumping issue were not people who cared about being called racist by liberals.
