Due to the warm reception of the last post 'Opinions of Austria', I would like to see how expats view my home city.
I would rank it as a freedom city. No gross insurgence (with the exception of Umbrella/ Occupy movement), breathtaking scenery in the countryside, and a high level of freedom of speech (in my opinions only).
This would be my last post of 'opinions of any countries/ entities/ cities' (maybe in 2016) to avert spamming.

Probably very nice play for visiting for few days but living there for someone who isn't accustomed to live in place where there is 6,544 people per km2 must be pretty hard.

I guess freedom city but would never like to live here. Skyscrapers sucks.

The greatest city in the world east of Jerusalem. I've loved HK ever since watching Chungking Express and visiting HK with my father in 1996. My dream job used to be flying a 747 or L-1011 for Cathay, but they pay scales are not what they used to be and the company culture sucks. I love racing and HK is by far the best place in the world to handicap races because of the massive pools, full fields and relatively small number of horses. (Great callers too! I wonder what happened to Racing to Win now that ATV is off-air?) I've spent many weekend afternoons at Sha Tin. Such an amazing place. I haven't been there since 2012, but I am really dying to go back.

Horrible place. Crammed, expensive and pushy.

Loved it. Busy, cheap taxis late at night.

Stayed at the Ritz Carlton. Apart from pushy Chinese spendaholics, loved the Big Buddha and Kowloon markets.
