I'm guessing it's a Trump call for Pennsylvania.

Lily
November 4th, 2020
2:06 AM

“...we can now project that Kamala Harris has won the state of Michigan, and has therefore won enough electoral votes to secure the presidency. Kamala Harris, a freshman Senator from California, has become the first woman elected President of the United States, defeating President Donald Trump in the process.”

Lily Adams couldn’t move. For a Communications Director, she was surprisingly speechless as her friends erupted into cheers, laughter, tears of joy, and other kinds of noises at the Harris campaign headquarters. They just beat Donald Trump. Kamala Harris won. Kamala was going to be the next President of the United States. Oh my God. And the reality of it all set in. Oh my God! We won!

There was a series of popping noise as several champagne bottles were opened. Nothing happened for the next 14 minutes except celebration, drinking, hugging, pats on backs, and long strings of joyously shouted expletives. AP called Michigan, and then FOX and CNN, and soon everyone had agreed that it was over. Well, almost everyone. Then, Lily’s phone started to buzz. She immediately recognized the name, and answered the call.

“Hi Lily,” Hope Hicks began. “President Trump would like to speak with Senator Harris.”

In all the madness and excitement of the room, Lily managed to find Kamala Harris. “It’s for you,” she said, as she handed off to Kamala likely the most important phone call of her life. Then, she took a long look at the winning map that they had all worked so hard to accomplish.

Kamala Harris/John Hickenlooper - 277 Electoral Votes
Donald Trump/Mike Pence - 230 Electoral Votes
Uncalled - 31 Electoral Votes

The glass ceiling has finally been shattered. You should post the popular vote and state results if you can. Nice work. You are so talented. I felt I was living the moment.

With such a close election, Trump and his supporters won't let this one go easily.

A protracted recount would be an interesting outcome, but would probably tear the country apart like we've never seen before.

I have a feeling that this is gonna happen especially if Trump wins AZ and PA. Whatever happens, great job Castro.

Considering Harris is over the margin I dont see how. Plus statewide recounts usually dont yield more than few hundred vote at best.

C'mon now, Donald Trump's supporters believed that Hillary Clinton stole millions of votes even though she lost the election.  In a scenario where he loses narrowly and doesn't immediately concede, its chaos.

Donald
November 4th, 2020
2:21 AM

It was all over, they told him. He wasn’t going to come back in Michigan, there just weren’t enough votes. It was way too big of a margin for a recount. He probably wasn’t going to win Arizona either apparently, but that didn’t really matter at this point. At least Pennsylvania had still been good to him, and appreciated all the good they got from his leadership. But, even when they did call Pennsylvania, it wouldn’t be enough. In a few months, he wasn’t going to be President anymore. In a way, Donald Trump always knew this was coming, and he was right. He got four years to show everyone that he was serious, and they would never forget it.

He wasn’t really the loser here, all things considered. He had done the impossible time and time again, and achieved what nobody thought could ever happen. In 2016, he won the Republican nomination against the biggest field ever, and beat the Democrat that had everything going for her. He was ready to do it again this year, and he destroyed a rowdy, uncoordinated challenge by some arrogant House Republicans. But, he wouldn’t always have Hillary Clinton to campaign against, as much as he would’ve loved for her to run again. Kamala was a fighter, and he respected that. She went real, raw, and dirty when she needed to, unlike most of the cowards and weaklings and losers he knew in politics.

Donald Trump knew that his legacy was secure, and that everyone would remember him forever. Deep in their hearts, everyone recognized what a monumental figure he was, and that he would be considered perhaps the most consequential leader in modern times. He had an extraordinary career still waiting for him after tonight, and he was happy at the thought of finally returning to Trump Tower. Someone else can do this job now, he was ready to move on.

“She’s on the line,” Hope informed him.

Here we go. It was time to finish what he had started all those years ago. Strangely enough, he started thinking of his call with Hillary Clinton four years earlier. He took the phone from Hope.

“Kamala, it’s Donald.”

You really captured his narcissism.

Also, I hope this is how it plays out in 2020. Like, I'm legit considering sending this to Harris and telling her she should do this.
